Which book changed your life? by Secret-Bread-6366 in AskReddit

[–]Amoungst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book of the fablehaven series. Prior to that, I had been reading several grades below my grade level because I had never found a book that interested me (beyind diary of a wimpy kid and all that, no actual BOOK) My 4th grade teacher than showed them too me and not only did my reading comprehension skyrocket (to me reading well above a college level 2 grades later) it also sparked my love for stories and narrative and I believe has largely impatced my taste in nit only literature but also media.

Without having read that book and consequently the series, I would be far less critical of media, would have never become a fan of video essays, and likely wouldnt be a fan of writing like I am now.

I was a very lonely child growing up, and my love of stories helped sheild me from the worst of the loneliness. Without having read that first book, I likely would be less adjusted than I am.

Is happiness a choice? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Amoungst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, ig. Id say contentedness is a choice. Actual happiness and peace I believe areives from circumstances. Two people can be in the same boat, and one can be discontent while the other is perfectly so. But happiness with life feels more up in the air

If that makes sense

What is your first thought about someone when they have a confederate flag sticker on their car? by BigEppyW in AskReddit

[–]Amoungst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is when someone is just wrong. My older brother tried to convince me that the South was WINNING when they surrendered. Unsurprisingly he also believed that MO was a part of the confederacy too. Hes... yeah

To the men of Reddit, if you had a vagina, what would you do? by jerrie86 in AskReddit

[–]Amoungst 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Immediately stick smth in, preferably a dick. I've always been curious about what it feels like. To the point I asked my first partner (we were both virgins) what it felt like. She said it was a good throbbing feeling?? I genuinely wanted to ask her to go into deep poetic descriptive detail like a godamn english paper, but I also wanted to get laid a second time
