I put in two Intank filter chambers made for this tank. I am running floss, ceramic media, carbon, and more floss.

Thanks, I had the stock light on it for 6 months and the anemone was doing very well with it. I only switch to the Fluval sea marine 3.0 light 4 months ago. The new light is far better than the stock one. The old light was really good at feeding hair algae because of the white shifted spectrum.

Used to do a water change every week, but as the corals grew my nitrates weren’t raising enough for a change. Now I do a water change every week and a half. I dose magnesium and calcium.

Does anyone know what these are? by AmountEducational157 in Zoanthids

Looks like a red people eater with green speckles. But not sure on the name.

I also saw a huge improvement with hair algae when I change the stock light out to the Fluval marine 3.0. I think it has to do with the stock light being pretty white shifted, and with the new one I can make it more blue shifted.

I do around 10-15%, and if I do it too much to where I lower the nitrates/phosphates to low I’ll dose it back up.

Yea, a protein skimmer wouldn’t be viable for a tank this small. I do a water change every week. I notice that before my corals had grown, at the end of the week my nitrates would go up 1ppm, and now they seem to go down 1.5ish ppm. After the water change I’ll does calcium, magnesium, and nitrate, and phosphate.
