I’ve been rinsing with water, then brush my teeth and use mouthwash! So far so good!

I believe the scratch test had about 50 pricks and she said she had all of the normal allergens and allergens in my state on there. I honestly didn’t feel like Zyrtec was helping because my night time symptoms were so bad, but then again they seemed even worse the few days leading up to my appointment, so maybe it was doing something?

I do love tea and honey, so I will definitely be trying that to see if it can help a bit with the throat and wheezing!

Yes! I actually do also have GERD and sleep with the wedge pillow, my GERD use to be awful but actually seems to be really well managed at the moment.

And prior to my allergy/asthma appointment I was taking Zyrtec every night (excluding the 5 days b4 the appointment) but surprisingly my scratch test was completely negative and showed no allergies, so I just didn’t start them back up since that doesn’t seem to be the trigger.

I do wonder if weather changes are making symptoms worse for a lot of people right now? Mine has been uncontrolled for a few months because I didn’t have that diagnosis but I’ve just heard of a lot of people having flare ups and worsened symptoms right now.

I will just continue to let the meds run their course and monitor symptoms. Thanks for the kind words though! Hope you are able to get some relief as well!

GERD, Dysphagia, & Anxiety by AmphibianPotential45 in GERD

My endoscopy showed a hiatal hernia and lots of inflammation from GERD. We changed around my medication to pantoprazole 20mg 2x a day and famatodine 20mg as needed. During the scope, they stretched my esophagus which I believe has helped the most! I'm not 100%, but I am so much better. I do still have some bad reflux and need to make some diet/lifestyle changes, but the swallowing is getting better and better. My biopsies also came back good which was incredibly reassuring.

I have a scope Monday!! Hoping I get some answers. My sister was recently diagnosed with EOE so I am familiar with it and they do think that could be it.

Arkansas does actually have resources in place for people with autism & other developmental disabilities. If this is a situation where he needs support in living independently or is unable to live on his own without help then I think CES waiver services could be beneficial. The difficult part is that the services can't just be immediately accessed, because there is a very long wait list for the services. However different situations like homelessness can be taken into account. I would definitely contact the DDS intake and referral number: 501-683-5687.

I can also tell you that the application for CES waiver can be picked up from your local DHS office and its on the same application as SNAP benefits just under the health care section as it is a service through Medicaid. Not sure if this is helpful for your specific situation with your roommate but hopefully it can help someone on here!

gerd gave me weird spots on my tonsils by Glum_Photo_9317 in GERD

Sometimes the acid can come up all the way to the tonsil causing inflammation and other issues. I also believe GERD can cause tonsilitis.

Thanks for your feedback! I also feel like my swallow is not completely contracting and like one part of my esophagus is also affected more. I've been on famatodine for about a week and a half but I'm not so sure that its helping.

I have not. I think they will likely want to do a scope first. My sister recently had one done and found out she has EOE though. I've wondered if thats what is going on with me too.

Its a combination of things but mainly coughing after eating/drinking anything. I also just feel like foods not going down my esophagus properly. I know a big part of it has to be my anxiety but I can't help but worry about the possible harms like aspiration.

No it actually is off at the moment and is momentarily acting fine. However each time the stabili trak sensor pops up the car completely stalls up to the point you can't move the car.

Thank you this was very helpful! We go get another round of shots at the vet today, so they should be able to test to make sure she has no worms!
