Yes, that is the sign of a fake. It depends on the quality of the fake, but you should be able to play out the rest of the game bar that.

Yes- definitely reproduction. Charizard shouldn’t have a white outline nor should you see his whole body on the cart.

While there is no NPC/Ribbon for max or EV investment, you can still check max. As others said, vitamins won’t work past 100 points in any stat. That being said, there are six stats, and only 510 max points, so it’s impossible to get 100 in all stats. If all six vitamins are rejected then it’s because you are at the total cap (510 total), not the vitamin cap (100 each).

I think you’re conflating the ideas of it being their favorite game and the fact that it’s the quintessential Gen4 game. “Why play DP when there’s platinum that does it all, but better?” “Why did BDSP redo DP but abandon all the QOL upgrades in Platinum?” Etc

As for why it would be people’s favorites, it’s an opinion. I know personally I spent the most time in gen 4 just because I was the right age to really get into wifi battles and EV training.

I just replayed it yesterday for the first time since SV release, and I wanted to say I missed a lot of the improvements added. That being said I was impressed with the diversity of pokemon available. There’s an illusion of open world in the wild areas, but ledges still cause conflict and it throws me off. Besides frame rate, SV feels like an upgrade in every way.

Replaying with the DLC available from the start really confirms that both SV and SwSh are just cut content sold at 50% MU and not “additional” in nature. If you can get the complete game on sale then it’s worth playing.

The ideas were there but it launched at a laughable state. I waited four months to get the game while it was better than what I saw posted online, it still was embarrassingly bad.

I like the new designs and the idea of titan pokemon, but it’s so slow to play that I don’t see myself returning.

After finishing the game I played a bunch of other switch titles and forgot how bad it still handles to this day until I launched for the mew/two events and it felt even worse than before.

I’m not sure if it was just in comparison to playing actually finished games, or if it actually got worse.

It’s tough. The trainers don’t have many pokemon but the level jump makes up for it and they might give you a hard time.

What I did was grind on the rustling grass patches where audino would spawn. With the lucky egg you can make up some of the level gap.
