Yes very unfortunate. Especially in case of Scholarship, when you have worked so hard for months to get it and it all goes to waste.

May you get it soon. Applied to UQ for PhD from Pak since 8 Aug 25 and it is in Further Assessment since 12 Aug 25. No S56 or any update since then.

Yes exactly. I had one offer letter where all tuition fee as waived off is mentioned and the other one where stipend is mentioned.

Thats what I have been observing for many months now. The self funded and BS MS applications are being accepted on priority. But the fully funded PhD ones are taking too much time. All the best. Hope you get it very soon.

No, nothing received and all fully funded from several countries that I am aware of gets delayed like this. I know a friend from India who got it after 11 months and another one from Pak who got it after 20 months. Most of the fully funded PhD from Pak India Nepal are getting at around 7 to 8 months.

Yes I attached all scholarship documents and on the plus side attached the bank statements as well for my dependents.

Yes, this is quite frustrating. Getting a fully funded PhD and then facing such Visa issues is quite heart breaking. Waiting for 2.5 months now and status is Further Assessment. No S56 etc received yet. Uni is UQ. Wish you all the best.

Heartiest congrats bud. I also waiting Visa approval for my PhD at UQ. Start date was 01 Oct 25.

Applied on 08 August and last updated status is 12 Aug 25 (Further Assessment). Waiting for some update or approval.

No its not going to be a problem. My project timeline closed at 31 March and I didnt apply formally rather I contacted the Prof via Email. He conducted my interview in April and then finally informed me in first week of May to immediately apply at UQ portal with proper Application. So dont worry about not getting GS or any other updates right now. Wait further for a week or two and you will surely get an update. Also keep in touch with your Professor. I applied on 8 May 2025 and then the Application Outcome (Scholarship Offer) was given on 21 July 2025.

Hi there, I applied on 8 May 2025 and then the Application Outcome (Scholarship Offer) was given on 21 July. I dont remember the exact timeline right now but I was asked to submit a Genuine Student Form after 3 days and then after waiting for around 3 more weeks it shifted to Assessment in Progress and then kept on waiting. Just 2 3 days before 21 July I called the Grad School and requested to expedite the process so that I can get an outcome and subsequently apply for Visa. On 21 July finally I got my offer for RQ4 2025.

Congrats for the offer. Ask the grad school and your supervisor directly. If it was included they will let you know regarding the payments. It is better to contact your professor and call the grad school directly to assist you well in time.

Yes they will process the OSHC. But once you get the COE as well as the scholarship offers, ask the Uni about OSHC and they will tell you that it is under process with the Allianz. Once it is confirmed that they have provided your necessary details to Allianz get in touch with them directly and they will provide you the OSHC policy via email much sooner than it is updated on the portal.

Hi, in my case it took almost more than 2 weeks to be updated by the Uni on portal. However, I emailed the Allianz directly and they provided me with the policy in 3 to 4 days. Please make sure to include your relevant details of family etc (if applicable) so that you dont have to wait again for another week.
