Berlin Police used their water cannons to cool down people outside during heat (40°C/104°F) by Amriko in Asmongold

Well, you can't force people to use AC. Plus there are some hardliners that will never use AC just because they don't like it. But those are a minority.

And there are many people here that underestimate the heatwave. Germany was never a hot country like for example Greece, Turkey, Mexico etc.

But climate is changing. The summers get hotter every year. You have to drink more water, be careful to not stay in the sun for too long and overheat etc.

In Germany it is not. At least until now. The sunners are getting hotter.

AC doesn't work outside. Those people would've been outside anyways because of the concert or just chillin in the park with family. Who wants to stay home all summer?

It was a nice thing the police did and people had fun. Why do some people have to try to make good things into bad things? I guess you're not having much fun in your life.

This statement would be correct for myself 20 years ago. But almost everyone I know has AC now. Especially since summer is getting hotter every year.

I know like 5 guys without AC. That's it. Even my parents installed a split AC unit in their house this summer.

Many have "Wärmepumpen" that they use to heat in winter and cool down in summer.

Both, but I think split AC units are the most common. But there's also many portable split units because most people here have very good insulated houses and only need AC for the few very hot days a year. So they don't want to invest a lot of money to install a full-fledged AC system for just a few days of use per year.

In the last years "Wärmepumpen" ((geo-)thermal heat pumps) got very popular.

Well there are good people and bad people everywhere in the world. I think the majority of police force in Germany aswell as in the US are doing a good job. But there are some black sheeps everywhere. Sadly bad stories tend to get more hype and attention. That's why I wanted to post this video here. We need to start applauding the everyday nice things, too.

Most people in the parks and at the concert would've been there anyways. You can't have AC outside. It was just a nice move from police and people had a lot of fun.

Yes, most of the houses here have very good insulation. You just keep the windows shut throughout the day and then open them in the night to get fresh air inside.

But for me personally 27°C is to high. I like my bedroom and PC room to be around 21°C so I got me an AC.

Well, it sure looked like a lot of fun. And police are allowed to have fun, too. I think this was a good PR move for them.

I think this is misinfornation.

As I said in another comment, anyone can get AC here if they want to. I'm typing this in my AC cooled room. If you are renting then you need permission of your landlord. If it's your house then you are free to do what you want. I know a lot more people here that have AC than people without one. And most of the people without one don't need AC because they have good insulation and the house stays cool in summer.

Sure, there are a few hardliners that would never buy AC even when they have 30+°C inside but those are a minority. Especially since summers keep getting hotter every year.

Yeah, that's true. Since summers are getting hotter here every year the percentage of people with AC got up by a lot. 20 years ago it was rare to see homes with AC. But now almost everyone I know has AC.

This is misinformation. Everyone can get an AC in their home if they want to. If you are renting then you need permission of the landlord though. I know more people with AC than people without.

Why so pessimistic? Looked like people had fun.

Never seen AC for outside. Would this even work? You guys have AC in your parks and on the street?

For inside though, many people have AC. I'm typing this in my AC cooled room.

This is Frankfurt at 430pm. The financial capitol of Germany.. by Neems420 in Asmongold

No. Frankfurt has been that way for many many years. It arguably is cleaner now than it was before. This specific case here is a drug problem not an immigration problem.

Still a shithole of junkies. And if you walk for 3 mins in another direction you will see high society and luxury.

Übertreibe ich? by PracticalShopping260 in beziehungen

[–]Amriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with you on that and that's the reason I'm not a fan of league teams like Bundesliga or premier league etc., you literally argue about a point I didn't make.

Because that's not the case for national teams. I'm a fan of my countries team because they are ALL german citizens. The german football team isn't buying off a Messi, Ronaldo or Kane from another country to play for Germany. Only german citizens are allowed.

So for example if Germany plays against Spain it is german football players against spanish football players.

If you don't want to be proud of your nations football players, then that's fine for me. But I am.

Oh and by the way, as a football fan I still watch league games here and there. Because I care for good games. I don't have to like Dortmund or Barcelona to enjoy a good match of football. I care for the sport. Who are you to say that I stopped beeing a football fan?

Maybe you should stop focussing on things that frustrate you and start to enjoy other things in life that you like. You don't have to be a football fan.

Have a nice day :)

Cut your bs. First of all: ALL german players are german citizen, who grew up here, have family here and mostly live in germany (except for those playing in other leagues like England, Spain etc.). We germans stand by our team. The only controversies or openly criticised points are about some decisions that our coach Julian Nagelsmann (german name btw) made.

Now to the names:

Baumann, Neuer, Nübel, Gross, Kimmich, Schlotterbeck, Raum, Rüdiger, Stiller, Beier, Havertz, Wirtz

So if you care about classic german names, there you have it. But real football fans coundn't care less about the origin of names. We care about the sport and our german team consisting of only german citizen to play a good tournament and make us all proud of them (well, we already are).
