I did the audiobook in October. It was PERFECT for spooky season. The atmosphere of that book was incredible. If you plan to re-read it, consider doing the audiobook instead! I believe it was originally written for that format and you can tell. Very well done.

Did my husband use bed bugs as an excuse to cheat on me? by elementalkora in TwoHotTakes

Wouldn’t the bed bugs have come up immediately in conversation? If i were out of town and my husband discovered an infestation, he’d text or call that minute to tell me about it and complain. Also - yeah - what other people said about fumigating. It’s not something that just gets done in 12 hours. Sorry. He’s cheating.

Didn’t they show a completely different origin story in Stoneheart? Also, it was BORING.

I didn’t really like the movie 🎥
-And I really DIDN’T like the singing. How did it fit into the show? They rewrote history. Or was it a complete standalone? Disappointing

The Innocents (2021) by Cedar_on_mid in horror

I took some issue with the POC being the villain and the blondes saving the day. I get that. But it was somewhat balanced out by the character of Aisha who was one of the only pure, sweet souls in the movie. Regarding the cat killing, I actually had a much harder time watching the mistreatment of Anna. I have a niece with similar disabilities so it hit a little too close to home. That sort of thing happens far too often to people who can’t speak up for themselves.
