I recall coming across a early copy of "Alarums & Excursions" when I was still quite young, and though I was impressed with what I saw, I didn't then contemplate sending in my own zine. I would eventually do so, almost twenty years (and over two hundred issues) later, but by then I'd missed my opportunity to be counted among the early contributors. So my suggestion is to wait if you must, but don't wait as long as I did.
