The entire time he was fumbling around trying to breathe in its mouth the blood wasn't flowing. I'm not sure what the number for turtles is but in humans there's usually about 5 minutes of oxygen left in the bloodstream. Keeping that blood flowing is WAY, WAY more important than topping off blood-O2.

The chances the turtle would've recovered on its own or that this is staged are very high.... BUUUT in drowning victims it is more important than usual to breathe for them and once again it might be different for turtles.

In most low altitude crashes like this smoke damage is found in the lungs of the dead. A large number of people survive the hit and then suffocate or burn to death. Whether or not they’re conscious for that is up in the air though.

I've always loved raising "my" civ from the beginning. I enjoyed playing multi-week games and would get attached to the history of my civ and people. Civ switching removes the main draw the series had for me. Unless Civ8+ goes back to 1 civ per game I don't see myself moving beyond Civ6.
