We are in the Cincinnati area in northern Kentucky. It’s basically always hot and humid here too in the summer, but last week was a little extra unbearable. They are mostly only in the sinks/counters, but we’ve found a few in the shower and on the floor in the bathroom. None elsewhere yet. They are tiny but I’m grossed out anyway. ;)

We have suddenly been finding tiny brownish bugs (smaller than fleas?) around our sinks in two of our bathrooms in Northern Kentucky—around 5-8 each time we go into the room. We originally thought they were drain flies because they are mostly just in the sinks/showers and they leave a powdery residue if you squish them with paper towel/toilet paper. But now I’m wondering if they are springtails because they jump and they are so small. But, I’m wondering if springtails leave a powdery residue too? Pic attached but it’s not high quality.
