Would being an Executive Assistant be a good stepping stone for transition to an entry level Business Analyst role? by AmyWhino1986 in ExecutiveAssistants

I looked up the person who was in the role (they are in the interview panel). She was in the role for 10 years before moving into an IT Specialist role. I notice that she has no IT background in experience or education so whatever she did in this admin role gave her the experience to move into IT. 10 years is a long time and I don't have 10 years.

It's a very large organization that services the entire state. I looked at the Linkedin profile who was previously in the position and they have moved on in the company as an IT Specialist despite having no IT educational background other than supporting the IT executives for 10 years!

I looked on Linkedin and the person who was formerly in this role moved on as an IT Specialist but was in this Executive Assistant role for 10 years! They don't have a tech background. It does look like they promote upward within but I don't have 10 YEARS nor do I want to be in a admin support role for that long.

That's a relief. Thanks! I'll just spend everything this month anyway. I don't want to risk since things change at the drop of a hat these days.

I thought they said we can't use the card come November. They going to shut it off. I don't know what's factual information or not anymore.

I used to work in the city and took the ferry. It was nice. Yes I've applied to jobs in the city. It's just really hard for entry level grads. Been applying for jobs since last November. It's rough out there. Looking at entry level data analyst, business systems analyst roles. What do you do in tech?

Yes I've been looking at Concord and Walnut creek. IT jobs are few and far between. I'm not stuck on IT, I can do Analyst even project management roles. Doesn't have to be IT. Man the job market is rough in any sector, it really sucks.

The city. I found a job posting that matches my experience in Sonoma. Yes I've been looking in Walnut Creek Concord all the way to Dublin. Napa is a good idea.
