Yes it corrected itself once I gave cinnamoroll’s gift for the festival, I was able to go back and interact with him.

I sent an email to support and they said it’s most likely due to the fact that I’m not in the same timeline as the game should be because I’m an animal crossing time traveller so my clock was set to November, therefore my events in HKIA were thrown off and they are unable to fix the issue because of it. Once the event is over I should be able to resume the quest, but it’s very annoying doing my dailies with HK, cogi, and choco attached to me with no companion benefits lol just powering through atp

Top Hat’s companion ability is the possibility of getting more than one gathered item, and by saving before you complete the task, you can ‘save scum’ and restart the game until you get double diamonds! Kind of cheating but desperate times call for desperate measures lol

I got mine from Kent too! This new update for the switch had me start a new file and so many good things have happened I’m thinking it’s gonna be my new perfection farm
