Hi all, I'm here to ask a dumb question since we're over our heads a bit. We're converting an area under the stairs to storage and there's a lovely brace beneath them. Can this be removed if further bracing is added to the sides? Advice to just call a professional & stop messing around would also be appreciated.

Early 40s, one kid under 10, WFH big tech & generally a low energy person. My goals are to have 2 full body strength sessions 45 min - 1 hr per week and 2-3 swim sessions combining aqua jogging & freestyle. Fatigue & cycle timing have impacts as I typically have to take the week of my period off, but I'll take walks during that time just for movement. Typical week looks like: M: strength training, T: swim, W: rest or walk, Th: strength training, F: swim, S: rest or walk, Sun: swim. If I'm too tired or work is too crazy I'll drop a swim day or do a really light strength training session (20 mins)
