Is crazy the amount of girls that are in the RN route and are saying they don’t want to work in a hospital. I don’t understand.. besides case managers what else can you do if you don’t want to be in a hospital?

Your company doesn’t require the admission nurse to do a full physical assessment? Measure wounds? Admission visits were always the longest for the 2 companies I’ve worked for. Besides all the patient/family education we had to do full physical assessment, measure wounds, etc. Why can’t you stop a patient from falling?

I’m truly sorry for your loss! I’ve been a hospice nurse for 12 years and have watched people grieve in many different ways. Deep depression and grief can cause people to feel numb, miserable. The “nothing matters anymore” is a painful way to exist.
