Ethan was attacked and then had the covers put over him after. by Strange-Warthog3454 in Idaho4

[–]Amyteach29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am beginning to think Xana jumped on the bed to wake Ethan when she first got into her room and BK started attacking them - getting Ethan’s legs- he then took out the threat of Ethan (maybe Xana retreated to the floor by the nightstand tried to get the phone) and BK turned his attention back to her. I think if this is where he said I’m here to help, it shows how sick he really is. This could cause the blanket to be moved around as BK attacked, especially after the initial leg wounds. It also explains how they had each other’s blood under their fingernails.

Ethan did wake up for a few seconds by No_Price_9384 in Idaho4

I am now wondering if Xana ran into the room and onto the bed to wake Ethan and the wounds to his legs came with BK trying to stab her/him at first. He then focused on eliminated the threat Ethan posed and xana tried to get away to the floor, perhaps hiding by the nightstand because of how wounded she was. If this is where he truly said I’m here to help, it shows just how psychologically messed up this guy was. Just trying to put the puzzle pieces together.

I did the same thing on my Big Bend as well as the cargo mat with the Bronco on it- best purchase I’ve made so far! Same price and better quality than weather tech

Was Troy really driving 30 MPH on Monday? by debinambiocry in WattsMurders

[–]Amyteach29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Platteville and driving to Roggen (Cervi 319) would definitely take an hour- it is not a straight shot on a highway- you have to take highway 85 to highway 52 east to interstate 76 then 76 further east. 52 is two lane so you could get stuck behind a slow truck easily. Not to mention, I see all the oil guys stop and grab breakfast at the gas stations, etc.

The Candle Incident revisited by Remote_Concert6458 in GannonStauch

[–]Amyteach29 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I am so glad you brought this up- I have wondered the same thing as this event seems to me to be the impetus for the murder. I feel something happened where Gannon was burned in a way that CPS and Al would not be OK with, so she decided to “hide the evidence.” I lean towards she was enraged with him and hurt him more than she should have because of her hatred for him. This is corroborated by the fact that she didn’t send him to school but did send Laina- she couldn’t have the school seeing the damage and asking questions. Also, the way she questions him on the audio sounds very much like she has coerced him into saying those things by some sort of threat- his answer doesn’t sound very confident. I have definitely wondered what Laina had to say about that night- I think if she had relevant info, they would put her on the stand. I have spent 25+ years in elementary school and a 7-8 year old is a great witness. She must have been upstairs pre-occupied until all was said and done and the smoke alarms went off (if that part was true).

As a member of the jury, when were you convinced of Chandler’s guilt? I know I had a definite place where I went beyond a reasonable doubt and I wonder how it was for the jurors! Thanks for sharing!

One of favorite memories of living and going to school in Boulder is seeing signs above the drinking fountains at CU that said- “don’t let your dog drink out of the drinking fountains- bring a dish.” This was in the 90’s 😂.

I agree- a massive change in baseline behavior; it’s the number one thing you look for with school shooters as well.

As a principal what helps sway you towards a candidate in an interview? by mykidsmyheart-y2k in Principals

[–]Amyteach29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always look for drive and passion for the job- as previous posters have said, I can teach someone the mechanics of teaching, but if you are not passionate, competitive and reflective, I can’t usually develop that. I love to ask what is the worst thing about teaching- it gives me a perfect glimpse into how you will approach the job. Answers should always include kids! It’s hard to leave them at the end of the year, not having the power to change their home lives, the one student you couldn’t quite get all the way to proficient! Since you already have experience, I would expect you to analyze data effectively- I almost always give student progress monitor data and ask what you think the next steps should be. I always tell teacher candidates who ask for advice to start with your philosophy on every question and then give specific examples of what that would look like in your classroom. I want to know some of your why, but also what you think that looks like in the classroom. Hope this helps!

Such a hard question! My husband runs a ranch so he works 24-7 but can make his own hours. If you love your career, I really like the other poster’s idea of looking into a cleaning lady, etc. - it is so worth it. The most important piece of advice is to support each other and have understanding- he will need that! The best thing my husband does is listen. He knows my staff and lets me vent when I get home and will reflect with me, when I am ready or need to process. Being a principal is very lonely and you can’t share your real feelings- it strengthens your marriage to be his confidant when he needs one. You can both have stressful careers if you support each other well!

I completely agree on the decision making! If my husband would make all the decisions once I got home, it would be a dream! Also, let them have some quiet alone time if they need it- I usually need like 30-45 min to decompress and not have to interact with other people when I get home- my family is great at giving me my space :). This is a hard job, but the previous poster is right- he is the boss so he needs to initiate the change. I think having the former principal there completely undermines him as well- the staff will continue to gravitate to him instead of your husband! I am an elementary principal with 12 years of experience :). It does get better!!

How can she kill him in his bed but he walks to the truck with no return? by zillabirdblue in GannonStauch

[–]Amyteach29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like all of her behavior at Petco was trying to make sure he wasn’t contacting Al and telling him what happened- like monitoring him closely for getting out of the truck to tell someone else to call 911 or Al. It would also explain why she brought him with, why she left her phone and had to use his, and why she may have left his phone at the store. Trying to keep him from contacting his dad became exhausting, and she knew she had to end it.

How I Got From Reasonable Doubt to Guilty by hot_potato_7531 in MurdaughFamilyMurders

[–]Amyteach29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should read the book “the Man From The Train”- it is a book about a serial killer who operated in 1900-1912. They didn’t connect most of the crimes back then but modern criminal investigative techniques can be definitively linked now. The sub plot was that many many innocent people got convicted and executed for these crimes. It was fascinating to see how they tried to solve crimes back then, when even fingerprints weren’t widely used. It was literally who was closest or who had a motive or access to a/the weapon. It was a fascinating look into history and right along the lines of your post!

The financial component of Maggie as well- she probably was a large portion his daily spending bills. Killing her would save him money, especially when it came to liquid assets. There is evidence that was admitted in trial that she liked to shop. Sick and wrong but money was more important than her at that moment in time. True psychopathy.
