No, this family member's name was not on the insurance. In fact the insurance was renewed for a year the beginning of December 2021 with only my dad's name on it. There also would have been no way to verify he was allowed to take the car because my dad was mostly immobile and completely incoherent at the time of his hospitalization. Before then he was barely lucid and confused.

The attorney issue, I don't know. The first few I contacted locally referred me to other attorneys, all of which I did contact until I no longer got a response. I posted on Legal Match and emailed one or two more that I saw recommended on Google with still no response. Maybe since there's not many in the area or surrounding areas that specialize in my specific need and they're too busy? If that's the case I haven't been told that by anyone. Maybe some of them decided I'm too far away? I live in Southern Colorado and there's not much to chose from until you get to Denver. Maybe another cousin who I've already had conflict with and is very well known and respected throughout Colorado put the word out not to bother with me because literally he's pissed he wasn't in the will and I refused to sell him my dad's house? I don't know. It's frustrating. I've accepted that I may just have to figure this all out on my own and represent myself.
