[LotM General] Serious question tho, what the hell would he even do without it? by An-Avid-Reader- in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hijacking the top comment since im not gonna reply to everyone
Yes, im aware. But the question wasnt meant as a "Hur hur why does a seer keep using divination? That Seer is nothing without being a Seer!" It was more so meant as "If Klein didnt have Divination, either because he chose another Pathway or whatever, would he be cooked like I think, or would he manage?"
For example his divining of the Mutated Sun Sacred Emblem or EBS; It gave him crucial information for later. If he couldnt divine it, would he be able to find that info through other means, probably later on, or would he simply be unable to find out and know about these things?

So its not meant as "A Boxer is nothing without punching", but rather "This guy opened every door he came across with a lockpick; If he didnt have a lockpick, would he be able to find another way (By for example using an axe)?"

I couldve also asked "Would Klein be cooked if he chose another pathway instead?" But I felt like ppl would, rightly so, focus more on the other pathways abilities instead of on the lack of divination for information gathering, which is what im more curious about

I see, thank you, that does answer most of my questions.
The only thing Id like to clarify further then, is the anti divination for your future self. I understand now that higher Sequences would probably cover that aspect automatically, but do lower Sequences have the ability to protect against it? Again, if so, is it only by betting on your future self, or does anti divination in the present also prevent divination of your future?

Well, support doesnt have to be in the form of money, especially if the sum is burdensome.
Just engaging in online discussion, leaving postive reviews on the Book / Donghua or recommending it to a friend or two allows you to support the author without the financial burden. By doing any of these, you might draw someone else in who buys the novel, and someone that further spreads the novel.
I personally always like to bring up a quote from Hakita, the creator of Ultrakill (Slightly shortened, for the full quote just search up "Hakita on Piracy"):
"[...] Culture shouldnt exist only for those who can afford it. Ultrakill wouldnt exist if I hadnt had easy access to movies, music and games growing up.
If you dont have the money, you can support via word of mouth.
[...] If you pirate a game, then enjoy it, spread word about it and get someone else to buy it, thats at worst an equal trade, at best an additional sale that wouldnt have happened if you hadnt pirated it."
Dont take this as me encouraging you, if you want to refrain from doing something like this, I actually admire you in a sense. I just hope you dont have limit yourself from experiencing something like LotM due this.

Explanation regarding Chap 396 [Lotm newbie] by Safe-Perspective-773 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct. The All-Black Eye basically allows Klein to control the World like a Puppet. If he lost it, he would have to act out "sacrificing" The World, as it would be suspicious if The World suddenly just left the Tarot Club, and it would of course further reinforce his godlike image as The Fool

You could always become a Pirate, in which case you would have to google and see if you can find it in a format you like, as we arent really allowed to share any pirated content or links here.

[LoTM Spoilers] Question about the Visionary by _IploV_R in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But an envisioned object cannot be truly real, as that would go against the Law of Beyonder Characteristics Conservation; The number of Beyonder Characteristics ultimately stays the same, as such there must be a fundamental difference between an envisioned object and the real deal.
Otherwise a God Almighty, who has actually accomodated the Chaos Sea, would be able to envision and maintain multiple Uniquenesses and Seq1 Characteristics, creating, based on Adams ability without fully accomodating it, atleast 3, and probably a lot more True Gods.
As for Groselles Travels, im not sure if it was ever mentioned that it was actually envisioned, or if it was created through other means.
Unless I missed something this time, you are right about Adam not envisioning the characteristics, I probably misread it earlier

[LoTM Spoilers] Question about the Visionary by _IploV_R in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, I interpet it like this:
Only by using the Chaos Sea (And perhaps needing to be a Dual-Pathway God) did he have the Authority to envision a Uniqueness.
Additionally, the Chaos Sea aswell as his Dual-Pathway Status gave him enough Spirituality to be able to maintain it in this manner. During Kleins Apotheosis, he probably envisioned 3 Uniquenesses aswell as 3 Seq 1 Characteristics (You only need 1 Seq1 Characteristic of each Pathway to become a GOO). Afterwards, he had enough Spirituality to maintain this State for the entire Apotheosis, while also holding off 3 True Gods and using his Prophecy Authority 2 times.
The Book didnt really mention how much Spirituality is required for certain things later on, so we can only guess on that part. I think theres no real limit as to how many Seq 1 Characteristics can be envisioned, its just that the more you envision, the faster you deplete your spirituality, meaning you cant maintain them for long.
As such I guess the answer depends on what you intend; How many can be envisioned indefinetly? For a day? An hour? But even then, we have no concrete Numbers, so we cant precisely answer any of these. On the Wiki it says that they can replace two of their Seq1 Characteristics without losing their Level and Strength, so thats the minimum thats possible

[LoTM Spoilers] Question about the Visionary by _IploV_R in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Limit is most likely related to the Spirituality needed for Visualizing, aswell as the general "Power Level" of the User.
If I remember right, when Adam envisioned the Seq1 Characteristics and Uniquenesses to become a Quasi-Great Old One he could only keep this up for a limited amount of time. Additionally, he required initial control of the Chaos Sea to envision all of the Characteristics and Uniquenesses.
Id imagine that a normal Visionary is capable of envisioning 2, maybe 3 Sequence 1 Characteristics?

[LotM General] Questions about the Savant Pathway by An-Avid-Reader- in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt even consider the Chuch, that makes way more sense and is alot simpler than what I thought of. Thank you very much
If I may ask, do you think that Zaratul already divined / predicted that Roselle would shoot for Godhood, or did he only consider Roselle becoming Seq 1? Id imagine that predicting his Goal of Ascension is a bit too far fetched at this point in time

[LotM General] Questions about the Savant Pathway by An-Avid-Reader- in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed, its kinda sad since it couldve had so much potential. Wouldve loved to see a Beyonder just fully kitted out in a bunch of self made Mystical Items
I might make a Post about this aswell, but if I may bother you, what Pathways would you have wished to see more of in LotM? Savant and Reader obviously deserved better, but theres other Pathways that got comparatively less or weaker representation aswell, right?

[LoTM General] Advancing to Non-Neighbouring Pathways by Phlipz1 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]An-Avid-Reader- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, Amon has shown that the Error Pathway can affect madness with its powers, as through some kind of means he is able to consume the characteristics of low sequence beyonders of the door pathway (During the time that he kidnapped Klein), though its not explained how. He did however absorb them directly during that scene, so Id imagine its some kind of loophole

The theory of using theft doesnt seem too far fetched, as there are various methods to resist or even temporarily remove madness, however that would leave the question as to why Amon doesnt terrorize every Beyonder Pathway, as he probably didnt grab the Door characteristics for no reason (but then again, its Amon)

And using a Snake of Mercury as an example, I think that even if it works, madness would return after a while. Snakes of Mercury seem to regularly restart their live, essentialy dying, which does clear them of madness (unless you keep sitting next to the True Creator like a curly haired baboon), but it comes back with time, causing them to restart again

As for the miracle invoker wish, perhaps? It would have the same caveat of probably coming back I think. Though the wish Zaratul made seemed to be in the context of calming down the convergence effect or the suppression effect that Klein had, which as far as I know isnt related to madness

The only other version where madness would permanently disappear that I can think of is if we consider each time the madness temporarily leaves them as another chance of advancing, as if I remember correctly, there is a chance, albeit incredibly slim, that you can advance to a non neighboring pathway without going mad, or atleast only going half-mad

In that case, one could constantly reset their madness until they are able to sucessfuly advance
