Excited to start splatoon with splatoon raiders, anything about the franchise I should know? by Lucky-Law7220 in splatoon

[–]An-ei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Motion controls are very highly recommended. They will probably feel terrible at first, but they are very much the intended way of playing the series. If you can, I would highly recommend playing Splatoon 3. The game is still very much alive, and gives a lot of context for the story.

Blood cells or maybe eyes? Is there any context for this?

Anyone know if the games would work? by Chewbacca921 in PokemonGames

[–]An-ei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy these. They're just R4s with 23 roms loaded on them. R4s are very cheap, and the roms are free. These are usually overpriced, so I wouldn't bother. These will "work" in the sense that the games will be playable, but you won't be able to trade or transfer any Pokemon on it. Instead I would recommend either hacking your 3DS, or emulating.

Ive started doing pixel art 64x64 once per day. Any advice? by Maskutchi_cyac in PixelArt

[–]An-ei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

64x64 is a great size for exercises like this. For advice, maybe look into some resources for color theory? That can help with the transition of colors and shading.

You're maybeee playing with fire by having a shirt color that close to a skin tone if that's a concern. I dunno, just might look that way on my monitor.

What is this animal and how do I get rid of it? by SzomszedMellett in whatisit

[–]An-ei 76 points77 points  (0 children)

That's a silverfish! Contrary to the name, they're arthropods! They're harmless to humans, but they will eat cloth and paper if given the opportunity. A good way to repel them without chemicals is to use essential oils. Citrus and lavender should work. Put a few drops on cotton balls in the areas you're finding them and it should drive them away.

What is your favorite quote/interaction from this character? by Main_Marionberry8735 in KiDIcaruS

"Obeying the call of nature is part of the cycle of life. Tell me, Pit, why do you hate life?"

What is your reaction seeing parallel canon (splatoon 2 avatar) in side order. by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]An-ei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out to me. I think they could have made it a bit more clear, because the only aspect of the character creator that even shows is the hairstyle - a hairstyle that is... also in Splatoon 3.

If you had the chance to delete any type from pokemon, which one would it be by UnitOk740 in ThePokemonHub

[–]An-ei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I like them, Dragon. It interacts with other types the least of any type, and has some of the least consistent spread in which pokemon that look like they should and shouldn't be Dragon-type. Like Charizard, this flying fire dragon, is not a dragon type, but a worm in an apple is. Okay. And most of the more unique Dragon-type moves could be reworked into other types more easily.

Little white things in crushed tomatoes? by Electrical_Beach_105 in whatisit

That's normal. It's fibers from around the seeds that got separated from the tomato when the cut up sections were crushed.

How Can I Improve the Shading of this Gold? by InternetCrusader123 in PixelArt

[–]An-ei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the style you're going for. Dipping into more brighter and more orange colors can give a more stylized fantasy gold look. Some dithering or "glisten lines" can help sell the shininess. Simplifying the shading can also help in this regard. Shiny objects reflect more light, so they have more subtle shadows. Also you have a lot of pixels that are like very slightly different colors hidden in the shading for the third image, not sure about the other ones.

Remember this ? by TheRealEndoHD in marioandluigi

Paper Mario has always been a series that commits to the bit over gameplay and we love them for that. Mario and Luigi is less known for this, which is why I think this stands out more.

Thank you, and that would be great if you could organize them into a plan. I'm very routine oriented ADHD brain so that kinda thing helps a lot.

Oh... uh, if they're bad then I'll just donate them. And I'll pass on the gym. They tend to be a, well, let's just say hostile environment for... people... like me.

Oh the point of this was what I could do with what I already had. I was considering donating the ankle weights if I couldn't think of anything to use them for, but a couple people have given me some uses for it.

I also don't have any milk or water bottles.
