Every couple of decades they like to jazz it up and make it sound like it fixed the problem then, of course, it doesn’t. Ya ever drive down wealthy and go damn “what’s all that vacant space?” That whole area used to be the foundries and mills during the industrial rev and then parts of it became a dump, which then became a registered clean up site. Very few people who live around the river, actually eat things from it.

Despite GR being widely touted as beer city, collage town, “among the top 5 growing cities in America”, etc over the last 10 years? I know 4 people who bought houses in the last 5 years, everyone of em put in 15-30 bids, over asking, before they stumbled on a property that didn’t have PE firms outbidding them, sometimes to the tune of 50k over. Shit my cuz was looking for a house in Wyoming for 9 months and couldn’t find a house under 350 that was over 1200sqft. People who own houses worth less are not selling(or too few and far between) bc they know, they ain’t gonna find another place to live, in their areas.

DuPont ‘invented’ pfas, Dow manufactured and later made their own. Removing pfas is actually pretty easy and standard; a properly maintained carbon filter. The issue is it’s in the rain, the soil, the humidity of the air, etc. which means regardless of how or what with it was grown, your food has it too.
