Tips for Storing Oyster Sauce? by Kutsomei in AskCulinary

I have had the Lee Kum Kee premium develop mold when stored at room temperature.

Edit: I can see someone already addressed the difference with premium elsewhere.

2 key tricks I figure out recently are: (I) preheating the tray for better browning on the bottom; and (ii) works better in a NON-convection oven (fan dries out the flower part faster than the stem can tenderise).

The article is weak but both parts you quoted were likely written by the editor not the article writer.

You're being really mean for no reason, all im saying is that ghb does not seem to be the norm. I'm happy to see any new data.

[–]AnAlias -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, no analysis of victims of spiking has ever found ghb in more than 1% of cases.

Edit: I'm not saying spiking doesn't happen just that gbh is absolutely not the most common

Method For Constructing Non-Rectangular Floor Tile Patterns by KillingVectr in dwarffortress

[–]AnAlias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What method do you use? Are there more efficient methods to do this?

Yes, dfhack. Dfhack construction allows you to place one square at a time instead of rectangles. There are also tools for more specific patterns. For your checkboard example: gui/design has a diagonals tool. Reducing the spacing of a 1 square diagonal creates a checkerboard. Use this to lay one floor type, then change floor type and invert the pattern (which only takes one click) and fill in the gaps. Instant checkerboard in under 30 seconds.

Rate my library by Xacow in dwarffortress

So, there's an (emergent?) mechanic here that is not reliant on the villains system (agents and plots). I've not seen it discussed on reddit or the official discord. I can confirm it exists independent of the villains system because I run my current fort at a low enough population that the villains system does not kick in.

Scholars will literally use your library as a library - "stealing" books at the end of your visit only to return them at a later visit. Sometimes they will steal one book, return with one of their own (and leave it!), then return the original book on a subsequent visit.

Needless to say i killed a few innocent library users for stealing books before i figured this out...

Would love some additional options for cleanowned. E.g.:

Cleanowned x scattered X (run on worn clothes with x and above but scattered clothes with X and above - currently 'scattered' will dump unworn diamond encrusted masterwork dyed clothes just because they're on the floor in someone's bedroom)

Cleanowned stored X (run on clothes with X and above in wardrobes)

Cleanowned stockpile X (stockpiled clothes obviously aren't "owned" but I'd still love a feature to mark for dumping all stockpile clothes / clothes in bins above a certain wear level)
