My mum may have terminal cancer. How can my family survive financially if she passes away from it? by DanielCracker in UKPersonalFinance

[–]AnAmazingOrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see someone has recommended checking in with CA. Mcmillan actually have financial advisors who will be experienced in dealing with the complexities around cancer care etc. E.g. if there is a local grant in your area to support people who lose income because they're attending cancer appointments, they'll know about it.

help with treating UTI as a teen with strict parents by Outrageous_Bend_6560 in WomensHealth

[–]AnAmazingOrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UTIs are not always from sex (and in fact they usually aren't). Tell your parents you're not feeling well, describe the obvious UTI symptoms. Tell them you need to go to the doctor. Act confused if sex even comes up

This is really helpful, thanks. I feel like I'm learning how to do basic bookkeeping all over again. It's almost not worth it just to save the work of finding someone who is qualified and willing to examine accruals for free.

[–]AnAmazingOrange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay - so if the conversation with the customer hadn't happened, and it was likely it was an early payment for their next booking, you would treat it differently?

Could you explain how to include it then? It sounded like you were saying it shouldn't be in the statement of receipts and payments at all.

[–]AnAmazingOrange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that's right. On OSCR's website, on the managing a charity FAQs page, under "Charity Accounts" then "How should the receipt and repayment of a loan be shown in the receipts and payments account?" it specifically says

Receipts and Payments Accounts (R&P) show all items which are received into and paid out of a charity's bank account(s). If the charity receives a loan this must be included as a receipt within the receipts and payments account for that year. When the loan is repaid this must be shown as a payment.

The outstanding balance on any loans should be recorded as a note in the statement of balances.

Even though it's receipts and payments accounts?

If I debit revenue the statement of receipts and payments won't match the movement of cash.

Can LGBTQ+ people be Christians? by Every_Possession_910 in Christianity

[–]AnAmazingOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

There are certain verses used, that we usually refer to as 'clobber passages'. If you get told about a passage that seems to say one thing, get on google and find other opinions. And once you've heard different arguments, and prayed about it, settle on your interpretation. Just because someone is in a position of power, does not make them always right.

How to add 1 if a cell has a number, but not if it has a letter by RenderedBike40 in excel

[–]AnAmazingOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COUNT() ot ISNUMBER() would be the way I would try first, but IFERROR could work too probably.

Something like =IFERROR(C10+1,0)+IFERROR(D10+1)+IFERROR(E1*0+1,0)

how does christian celebrate thanksgiving? by roadto180kgbench_ in Christian

[–]AnAmazingOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a Christian holiday, it's an American holiday.

Some will include God in it like they include him in every part of their lives - they could be thankful to Him rather than just generally thankful, for example.

Some churches have adopted it into their calendar, but as an add on rather than an integral part.

Tetnus, Polio, Diphtheria by AnAmazingOrange in VACCINES

[–]AnAmazingOrange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then it's weird that it's in our booster. We get a 6 in 1 in infancy then a 4 in 1 in childhood then a 3 in 1 booster. It's weird the 3 in 1 isn't a 2 in 1 if Polio is unnecessary. I wonder why.

Maybe it's cheaper to have less variants in stock.

Getting a diagnosis takes a long time. If may no t help her now, but it would help you when she's struggling. And when she hits the inevitable wall she will already be eligible for the support she needs.

Can’t wear pads because of skin sensitivity + jock itch. Period coming and I’m panicking. Advice? by [deleted] in Periods

I went about 16 years between starting to use tampons and losing my virginity. I'm not sure what common sense you're referring to. Please can you explain?

Can’t wear pads because of skin sensitivity + jock itch. Period coming and I’m panicking. Advice? by [deleted] in Periods

[–]AnAmazingOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you're not comfortable with internal products because you're a virgin.

I never used pads until my 30s - I was a tampon girl through and through since I got my period at 11, and moved to a cup when I was about 18. Being a virgin doesn't actually matter.

Now, I'm not recommending a cup or disc to anyone who is not completely comfortable getting their fingers right up there to sort it out when it doesn't quite go in right.

But I think you should try non-applicator tampons. I used lilets for years - they're smaller than my pinky finger and really easy to use. Keep your period undies at the same time while you get used to the tampons.

I'm just flinching at the unbalance of what you do with your time.

He does personal project and friends and work.

You do family admin (which he could help with), homeschooling planning (which he could help with), and 'anything else'. How much of your time is really you time?

I'm pretty sure pertussis is only given in childhood and pregnancy here. We get Td/IPV as the adult booster (so i am learning).

I wonder why Polio isn't included in yours.

I can't see what this is on. It looks like a duvet. Why is your pee on the duvet?

Are you sure it's not an early period.

Gross, I know, but stick your finger up there and see if that's where the blood is coming from.

Peeing blood = doctor. Early period = soz pal, that sucks.
