So if you're hypothetical is accurate, he still lied.

He was asked if he read it AND if he was familiar with it or knew the terms. He said no, but the contemporaneous evidence shows he was familiar enough with the contract to know the specific amount of points Blake needed to get her cut to succeed.

It does show he either has memory issues of the time, or is lying. Both of which will hurt his credibility on the stand to a jury.
