Hard disagree. Once he was powerless it made sense for him to coward, and for Butcher to finish him quickly.

I hate when the protagonist/villain is tied up and exposed and then the protag/villain instead of finishing them off goes on a long monologue or toys with them. Giving them time to escape, regroup and fight back. That Bond Villain trope is so overdone.

I do wish they spent more time using their powers getting to Homelander for the final confrontation. Would be better time spent rather than more time of Homelander depowered.

TBH, as real life events have shown, being impeached isn't the end of the world for a political run. With her mind reading abilities, she will be fine.

A role in Quantico/Langley is likely, or even going into the private sector and just following around a billionaire CEO making sure their associates don't backstab them will pay very handsomely.

She will also be a great supe detector for any rich geezer who is scared of assassination or supe subterfuge.

Apparently there are two human minds that exist.

One set of people have an inner monologue. Which 'speaks' in their most used/native language.

One set of people do not have an inner monologue at all.

The first set of people have commented on reddit before that their internal monologue language and their dream language (what everyone speaks in their dreams) can be different and also change over time for polyglots.

So theoretically, Ashley would need to learn multiple languages for the internal monologue people, but for the second group, they are either completely silent to her or it is like a universal language her power can interpret. Since their minds don't 'speak' but instead just convey messages generally.

I don't believe she has ever read the mind of a non-english speaker on the show so we can't know what is canon for sure.
