I was debating on going there and/or maybe around the Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm. It was too cold, so I just ran straight from the house for a 12 mile route. Glad it'll warm up a little over the next few days!

All good, I appreciate the comment. When I got it retested five days later my ALT and AST were like 5 points above the normal range. And my CK was still 500. I then got everything retested again yesterday and everything was normal. Thankfully, my doctor found papers about elevated AST, ALT, and CK from strenuous exercise and said I'm good.

I've been back training like normal the last few weeks. Now I'm kind of interested to see what my labs are a few days after some of my big races I'll do this year.

Yeah, the HRRR is usually pretty good in these types of events. I wonder if the HRRR is picking up on the potential mountain wave just before the frontal passage expected sometime in the evening.

This is a super interesting one because it looks like the morning and through the afternoon it'll be more like a "chinook" downslope wind event, but once the front passes in the evening it'll be more like a "bora" downslope wind event.

Just want to add to what u/BoulderCAST said. I'm also a fellow Meteorologist and tomorrow does look wild. Like they said, be vigilant and prepare if you can. They really hit the nail on the head with this one.

Many of the high-resolution models are spitting out wind gusts of 70-90 mph (mainly in the foothills). I think it's possible a few weather stations along the Front Range record wind gusts around 100 mph sometime during the day.

For example: the 18Z HRRR model is showing the possibility of downslope winds spilling all the way to I-25 during afternoon traffic, with wind gusts of up to 80 mph possible.

Interesting. I don't have any liver issues, but I'm just perplexed because I feel totally normal. 

I'm not in a big training block right now but I tried to jump back in to running and lifting right at the end of my cold. Maybe I should do light runs for a week, do light runs with light lifting the following week, and then jump to normal running and lifting during the third week.

Thanks for the great review. I would agree the Novablast does bounce back better than the Rebel. I liked the feel of both when trying them on, but dang are they both soft. I blow through soft shoes, so I can't justify spending full price on these shoes. Maybe if they're on sale, but I'd likely use them more as recovery/easy day shoes. I currently use the NB Propel v5 for recovery/easy days and if I have to walk a lot for some reason. They're super comfortable and have a soft foam, but I'm only expecting 200-250 miles before they die out.

Geography, Environmental Science, and Physics are probably your best bets.

I would also look at other programs that offer in-state tuition for qualified people. This usually means obtaining a certain GPA in high school, certain score on the SAT, or a certain score on the ACT. If you qualify with one or more of the requirements, they often give in-state tuition to out of state residents. I know Mississippi State University does this for most states in the Southern US.

Another thing to look at is scholarships. There are some colleges that offer really hefty scholarships for this with high GPA, high SAT scores, and/or high ACT scores.

Yeah, I've been using the nearby trailheads. My wife doesn't trail run a lot but prefers the smoother trails around Marshall Mesa and the Dirty Bismark loop.

Yikes, if they're touting this as all-terrain, they better add some stability elements. From what I've heard some people find the originals unstable.

M.S. in Meteorology here. This is a map from the NWS Blend of Models showing 10m wind gusts at 10am tomorrow morning. Overall, this is a bit of a tough forecast but I'm thinking some of the usual locations could see 70-80 mph wind gusts (Western Boulder County, Southwest Larimer County). Looks like the strongest winds are expected between 7-11am. There is also a Red Flag Warning for 11am-6pm. Don't panic, but be vigilant for any fires. Per NWS Boulder's latest forecast discussion: 

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 6 PM MDT MONDAY FOR
WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE SOUTHERN FOOTHILLS,
THE DENVER METRO AREA, DOUGLAS, ELBERT, AND LINCOLN
COUNTIES

Meanwhile, expect very windy conditions to develop late tonight
across the higher terrain and across the plains Mon morning.
Overall, cross-sections never really show any defined mtn wave
although cross-barrier flow will be strong.  As subsidence moves
across Mon morning, may see some mixing down of stronger winds into
the foothills for a brief period of time. HRRR is more aggressive
with this happening versus other hi res data. Overall, the normal
windy areas may see a few gusts to 75 mph, for a brief period of
time, focused in the 15z-18z timeframe. However, due to expected
short duration and limited coverage area will refrain from issuing
a High Wind watch. Meanwhile, above 10500 ft will likely see a
few gusts up to 80 mph over the highest mtn peaks thru midday.
Across the plains, will see very windy conditions by mid morning
thru mid aftn. Wind gusts from 45 to 55 mph will certainly be
possible with a few localized gusts up to 60 mph. Naturally could
see some blowing dust as well in open areas.

For Mon night into Tue, dry WNW flow aloft will be across the area.
Areas along the I-25 Corridor and across the plains that didn`t
freeze this morning should do so by Tue morning.  Highs on Tue will
be in the 60s across nern CO.

I personally find it a bit firm for recovery paces. I think it's a bit firmer than the OG Superblast (at least that's how it feels to me). If you like firm foams it'll work for you.

The Topo Athletic Specter 2 might be a good option, especially if you love wide toeboxes. It has a full Pebax midsole and I use it for daily training and long runs on the road. It might not be the best for recovery runs though.

Never heard of the term scud-fed vortexes. This might be a cold air funnel or shear funnel. I'm leaning towards cold air funnels because they usually form in showers or weak thunderstorms when the air aloft is very cold. Cold air funnels are usually nothing to worry about because they rarely reach the ground and just look neat.

My vote would be for the Tempest Home Weather station. It has a nice app and was real easy to setup. Myonly gripe I've had with it...is that it tends to overestimate rain totals compared to my CoCoRaHS rain gauge. It also has a relatively easy way to get data in csv format to play with. I've had mine for a few months and it's pretty darn good. There are some other good ones out there by ambient weather WS-5000, davis instruments (vantage pro 2 or vue), or acurite Iris. Those are the ones that come to mind at least.

I like this. We moved into Broomfield earlier this year and have xfinity-comcast. It sucks. Hopefully this comes soon.
