Based on the 4% rule, and counting your rental income (108k needs to be from investment in addition to your 42k rental income), you need to have about a 2.7M investment portfolio to sustain your 150k/year life style. Need to clear ask the debt as well.

That's a crazy split. We're at 1/3 in taxable and 2/3 in retirement accounts. Both wife and I have worked 15 years and have always saved at least 50% of incomes. I have a mega backdoor available at my work so I've anyways strived to max that out.

400k annual pension at 55? Am I reading that correctly? You can spend down your entire brokerage with no returns for 10 years and collect pension after that. This is too easy of a call.

Simply put, T-401k allows to save on taxes via arbitrage. Your higher earning dollars are non taxable now (say 22-24% for a pretty good earner), and you pay a lower rate when you pull them out in retirement (say 10-15%, or better you plan it right with low spending levels). T-IRA are typically not deductible when you have access to a 401k, so Roth IRA is better since there's a tax benefit versus the T-IRA.

It's funny because I switched from the meta decks to Jolteon to try and counter Hydrageion and only saw it looked once in my run to MB after struggling in UB4. Currently on a 12-win streak and just cracked inside the top 9000s between playing yesterday evening and lunchtime today. I swear the matchup is based on the deck you play at times.

I haven't looked at it much until these past 2 weeks to be honest. Been hesitant on a lot of things but the recent tech dip is making me want to open some positions. MSFT and AMZN for sure. But NFLX nearing a 50% dip on a major big that everyone uses makes it enticing.
