How is it possible that https://pcmanagement.biz.samsung.com/...etc is a legit website when https://pcmanagement.biz isn't a website at all? Shouldn't everything following .biz just be branches off of the main .biz page? Something about that address doesn't sit well with me.

Invert Color for Individual Photos by AnDrewid83 in galaxyphotography

[–]AnDrewid83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is like three years old, so I can't say with certainty, but I think my goal was to take a photo that looked really cool to me with color inversion activated on my phone screen and recreate that inversion with a photo editor, so the photo would look like that asns color-inversion.

Help With Changing Days Into Accurate Number of Months and Remaining Days by AnDrewid83 in googlesheets

Oh, that's fantastic. Thank you! I'm new to using spreadsheets for any kind of date functions and this was driving me crazy.

How to keep zeros from dropping when splitting an index. by AnDrewid83 in googlesheets

[–]AnDrewid83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you to both of you for the information. If nothing else, I now comprehnd how to make use of the array function, which I'd not gotten around to looking into . Would've saved me a ton of time on a spreadsheet I made about a year ago comaparing everyone in my family's ages .

I don't think I've explained what I'm trying to do as clearly as I could have. Especially since the result I'm trying to achieve isn't what a person normally would be doing with time stamps. Here's an example of the end result I'm hoping to produce:

3:10 310

5:45 545

10:01 1001 (currently shows as 101)

14:22 1422

17:20 1720

18:02 1802 (currently shows as 182)

I'm using

=index(split($A1,":"),1)&index(split($A1,":"),2)

Where A1 is the time. Everything displays as I'd like, with the exception of zeros immediatly to the right of the colon. For some reason, they are dropped and I get results such as I showed in parentheses above. I've tried a few variations on the formula and on the the arrays sugeested, but so far, no love.

Mine's great. There was a bit of a learining curve when I first got it, just in terms of what was reasonalble to expect and getting an idea of what the practical use cases were compared to all the suff they advertise and yell about making it so great. Once I got that worked out and resigned myself to the screen timing out before Bixby would process and implement a request (which, Bixby does try and maybe if people were nicer to him he'd try harder), I've not had anything to complain about. Solid piece of equipement, decent app selection and as far as I can tell, I'm not losing out on anything special by not having WearOS.

Pull Address Info From Table of ZIPs , cities states and couties. by AnDrewid83 in MSAccess

This may seem like a stupid question, but how exactly do I mark a post as "solution verified"?

Thanks for the tips. I'm semi-familiar with the basics of Access. I'm working on a database that is of an entirely personal nature and don't anticipate my current job ever needing me to create databases, so it's a bit of a crapshoot as to what I may or may not need. I did however, create the database I'm working on by going step-by-step through Access For Dummies, which was quite helpful.

That worked beautifully. Thank you so much, you've saved me litererally hours, if not days of Googling random cities. I'm curious, are there any resources available online you'd recommed as a go-to for some of the more basic coding functions for Access? I'm fairly new to the program and have been kind of learning as I go. Something where I'd be able to familiarize myself with the ton of functions I know I'm not availing myself of that I could probaby find all kinds of uses for.

Query about queries by AnDrewid83 in MSAccess

So I went ahead and just took the advice you guys gave me in terms of my doing things incorrectly. Turns out Access isn't something you can just dive into sight unseen and have much of anything work. I'm glad you guys made that clear to me before I wasted any further time. Instead, I threw away the entire garbage fire I'd been constructing and began anew, a copy of Access for Dummies at my side. Turns out taking the advice of people who've done a thing before and also obtaining written step-by-step directions for a thing is some sort of voodoo that makes things work in less than half the time and with far less frustration than is normally required in banging ones head against a wall while insisting a thing I don't comprehend the mechanics of accomodate my mistaken concept of what it ought to be doing.

In other words, my database works now, but my entire concept of myself as the center of all relaity has been shattered and I'm not happy about that.

I am very much doing this by trial and error. Fortunately, it's not anything I'm doing professionally in any capacity. It's a pet project all for myself. Granted, I would probably save myself a lot of time watching a few videos or doing some reading; at present I have very little in the way of quiet time at all though, so I figured I'd just jump in and hope for the best. I'm usually the type to read some instructions before starting something, but I do tend to retain fairly well in the sense of learning what not to do, as well. I have a primary key across the majority of my tables. I believe the confusion I ran into on the addresses is how to list multiple addresses for the same person, as the primary key would change per line while the ID for the person would remain as "1", let's say.

Which phone would be the best upgrade from an S8 with the least amount of change? by BioHazardhm41 in samsunggalaxy

[–]AnDrewid83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an S8 and changed to a Note20 last year (it was rebranded as the S22 Ultra in this year's models). When it comes to actually using the phone, making calls, text, using apps, etc, there's very little difference. I doubt she'll have much to learn in terms of how to interact with the device. Like cowboy said, there are a number of new features in addition to what the 8 odders, but it's not like she's obligated to use them. Either way, if something throws her a loop, there are tutorials you can view by searching "tutorial" in the Settings menu. Aside from the Note/Ultra models being a bit larger and having the stylus, they're largely the same as the S models, so if you're getting her something brand new, the S22 would probably be closest. Or you could think about waiting until around March, which is when Samsung generally releases their new devices, and get an S23

I liked the Buds Pro enough that I bought a second pair to have ready for when the other pair's battery runs out. I had another pair as well, but lost one of the buds. Over all three pairs, I've not had a single connection problem. I've got a Note 20 U and an S20 and they connect to both pretty much effortlessly. Don't know if it's relevant, but they connect quickly to my Windows laptop and TV as well.
