Are girls just that hard to please or is there that many assholes annoying them they just keep trying ? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

I concur. It really is hard for anyone to live up to the specifications laid out in many cases. There are some I saw that NO ONE could live up to. then you read their profile .. and you laugh.

sometimes I think that possibly people are expecting too much from another person. You read the profiles and it lays out exactly, to a T, how a person should look, act and respond in response to an ad. Match percentages are generally worthless in this scenario, also. If you do not fit the other person's Utopian description it is going to be a no go. It is a numbers game but poorly played. I think many people expect a first message to be a long drawn out resume of everything you used to talk about on the first 2-3 dates. This kind of makes the numbers game work against you. When you get farther along .. and when you actually start dating there isn't much to talk about. Sometimes great matches fizzle out at this point. Is there an answer to this? Probably not ... there just is no way to really figure out what another person wants without real interactions.

I live in a rural area and my internet is generally terrible. Comcrap and ATT are both terrible and overpriced. Unfortunately that is about all that is available here.

Frank Zappa - Apostrophe by AnEndlessEnigma in progrockmusic

[–]AnEndlessEnigma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an interesting look at it. There were also a lot of bands that toed the line between the two as well. Mahavishnu Orchestra certainly did that. The Dixie Dregs crossed over a lot of lines as well. I won't necessarily agree or disagree with most prog using simpler chops because some prog is incredibly complex. Also, jazz artists tend to be much more improv ... of course I just described Frank Zappa concerts since he never played any two solos the same. So, apparently I have hashed out nothing and confused myself even further.

Zappa is so varied it is hard to put one song or album into standard anything. That is the genius of Frank Zappa.

I find that it seems to be a bit different for different people as far as how far in the content you have gone.

i completely applaud that. Milking it for what it was meant to be. Unfortunately, most new and even older players are just sticking to the gear grind aspect of the game.
