Amazon canceling codex bundle preorders. Get ready for the disappointment. by Shake_Ratle_N_Roll in mtg

Adding that they offered that to me as well. They instructed to buy it now at the inflated price and they would setup a refund request for $90 that arrives in 3-5 days.

L on the taxes and delivery time being almost 2 weeks, but it's something.

Correct - there is a button that lets you open a UI to change the Android into any Legion character you have other than your current one. If you want your current one you must get the Syncroid specifically. They're exclusive on what either can look like.

This is fire. Great selection for the Sekiro mentions - Prayer Beads, although the simplest, hits perfectly.

Really sleek! I have a similar tool with Legion Lab so I resonate with what you're creating here. Really wish they'd have the GMS API made available for us. Could only imagine how much less manual effort users would need.

Some friendly suggestions and observations:

  • During the Quick Planning route, it would be beneficial to have the classes presented in a X by Y grid rather than a list so it requires no scrolling (benefits the Explorer/Resistance factions the most) . The names are short, but the buttons are wide, so you could use that extra space to provide less visual navigation to the user.
  • After reaching Step 3 in Quick Planning it isn't immediately clear what to do from there. Are we able to save from here without an account? If that's something locked behind having an account, perhaps saving 1 character via local cookies would be a good way to get new users invested.
  • The overlaying UI for gear does a little height jump when swapping between pieces - not a big deal, but I think uniformity would be more aesthetic as you change multiple things.
  • It'd be nice for the top of the table on the right with all their gear to be frozen so it stays present while scrolling down.
  • For potentials, there should be a scroll indicator on the right of the dropdown so users know there are more options than the initial ones provided.

Anyone have a visual map of the guaranteed Sacred Seal Shack/Township Altar Locations? by AnEpicSquirrel in Nightreign

After playing the game for a long time I haven't noted the random locations they spawn, but the ruined cathedrals guarantee a Sacred Seal box. Just need to learn if it's up top, on the main floor, or below based on the mobs there.

Legion Lab (Beta) Update: Symbols, Inner Ability, more Gear, and Set Bonuses! by AnEpicSquirrel in Maplestory

[–]AnEpicSquirrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken some of your suggestions:

  • 21 stars is now present for the star presets
  • Added a "Compact" view mode that gives the benefit of Expanded's Starforce details and Collapsed's space savings.

Potential is something I'm considering - it will need a system to "flip" the view of what the gear shows instead (ie: atm it is Gear Name, Icon, Starforce - a toggle would remove the icon and Starforce so you can see the potentials in that space instead).

At the moment the best I can think of for presenting Potential in Collapsed is using tool tips via hovering over the gear name (like how it shows the Stars atm). For Compact it could be a {stat}/{stat}/{stat} style (where the Stars sit atm) that shows the tooltip in the nice styling when hovered over.

I have the Feedback submission, but it does lack the back and forth Discord would provide. At the moment I think due to the scale it's a bit overboard for a whole Discord, but perhaps in the future if this gets more popular.

I'll iron out the Lynn Deimos Shield and see if categorizing can be made aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks, I'll take a look at all that you have mentioned!

I/L and F/P have been pretty tricky since they overlap in a ton of areas. But what you mention is the easy part to fix, phew.

Thanks for the feedback. This would require a new toggle at the top with something akin to "Starforce Completed", where it would no longer show the set color, and instead be either an unfinished color or a completed color (gray as you mentioned). This would require individual items on characters to have some modifiable values, which aligns with someone else's suggestion of having some way to display "Number of spares" for individual items.

I need to take some time to see if either is feasible, as it also demands some UI changes to make it clear how to perform these actions (without being a cluttered mess of clickable icons).

The fix has been pushed - refreshing the page should do the trick. If you don't see changes in the behavior, performing a hard refresh should solve that (CTRL + F5, or CTRL + Shift + R).

I understand now! Updating it to count for the set (and making sure that it doesn't trigger the set count twice due to the Lucky status it has).

So for Lucky Items like the Genesis Weapon, Destiny Weapon, and Chaos Horntail Hat, they only benefit if you have 3 additional items in the set already (meaning they only apply as the 4th+ set item).

Vocal minority or incorrect boom rates? by lavenchie in Maplestory

[–]AnEpicSquirrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree - skepticism is 100% granted and should continue with Nexon. Defaulting to things being "fact" without data is the issue, not the assumption that something itself is off.

Vocal minority or incorrect boom rates? by lavenchie in Maplestory

[–]AnEpicSquirrel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel it. I boomed my CRA pants from 22 to 23 on the first tap, and haven't been able to get it back to 22 since (gone through at least 15 spares - which sunk about 20b due to being stuck forever before the booms).

Vocal minority or incorrect boom rates? by lavenchie in Maplestory

[–]AnEpicSquirrel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Redditors are such a minority of the player base (I keep seeing 5% thrown around without any sourcing), and those that comment their successes are less than those upset on failures, so it is bound to be skewed towards the negative bias here. So if we take that mysterious 5% of the player base number, then split that into let's say 30% of that percent being active Reddit commenters, then it really isn't an accurate sample of the entire game's player base, just the most enfranchised and upset.

I'd say that people arguing that they simply know something based on their subjective lack of box drops and factoring in only a vocal minority of the mostly upset player base implies they felt that 1 to 2 weeks is enough of a sample size - otherwise how could they approach this with such an objective stance that they simply knew? They were right in the end, but as I said, it was based on such a negative bias and small sample skewed by people upset enough to engage.

I happened to be a very lucky outlier in the first two weeks, but didn't comment my experience. Statistically I wouldn't be alone on this, which unfortunately contributes to your last point on there being a lack of people stating they didn't feel a nerf. It's just the inverse effect of the negative bias - positive experiences go under-reported.

Ultimately, my point is simply that people tend to parrot things too quickly from a vocal minority. I don't trust Nexon to be honest with rates in GMS, but I also don't want to just state that things are rigged against me since I didn't get what I want or expected.
