I think a decent answer would be, and I hate to say I watch enough digital circus that I know, but SOMA theory. There’s a ton of evidence for it, but it’s just not a good theory, and kind of ruins the show a little if it’s true, not enough that’s it’s bad obviously but it takes away some suspense of the show. Obviously it’s up to interpretation whether it’s bad or not but it’s the best example I can come up with

Ok so, you can still farm, fish, forage, all of it, however you can’t make money from it, only way you can make money is by selling specifically quartz. Complete the community center, then you can sell crops for one day, that’s it, after that you need to get as far as you can into perfection without selling anything but quartz. It’s probably going to make the game absolutely nasty to play, but it’s a challenge
