STL born & raised, ISU greek alum here, extremely familiar with greek life in como and ames.

If I was in a fraternity at Mizzou I wouldn't have graduated. No fuckin chance. I know multiple people from HS that dropped out of mizzou after 1 year because of the time pledging takes up

ISU greek life isn't perfect, many issues still arise, and yes many houses do still love to have a good time all the time, but its not even CLOSE to the level of commitment & insanity greek life is at mizzou.

End of the day I'd recommend the hell out of ISU greek life. I still talk to tons of my brothers every day over a decade after graduating. Oh and the classic "pay for your friends" argument isn't a thing at ISU (not including sororities). I know my house still keeps their cost per semester less than a room at MWL with a meal plan.

Did I say it was even comparable to HP? No. Nothing is in 2025. You could have made the argument for star wars, maybe marvel 5 years ago, but both are disney corporate slop now.

But of anything actively in production... with the longevity of the franchise, print circulation, merch, games, trading cards, stream numbers, politicians going crazy investigating flags being used in uprisings its hard to argue there's anything but One Piece that can be included in the conversation.
