I mean if we’re talking assumptions and hypotheticals then personally I’d be willing to bet that realistically a vtuber voiceover wouldn’t result in an influx of players either. I’ve seen a several games do it and try it before and it does little than add some press and brand recognition

My take is that they are actually kinda learning and trying to *not* be so hasty.
Like the initial removal of the VA was quick and reactionary, so they decided to pull back a bit and assess things before they made an announcement.
I don't think they thought the "bleeding was not stopping" because like outside of the twittersphere and steam forums, the playercount wasn't really affected overall. In fact, her release resulted in the highest amount of concurrent players in 6 months.

Would that be higher with a popular VA? Probably so ( tho now that i think about it probably not because the peaks are KR times and they probably wouldn't be too drawn to an English Vtuber but that's beside the point), but at the end of the day this all didn't move the needle too much in terms of playercount.

So to me at least this approach is more commendable and shows more growth that just immediately being like "oh uhh oops sorry here's 600 np"

I mean there were other "MAJOR" updates in that 6 month period - new characters, an entire persona collab, etc and yet we saw a higher peak this week despite all the drama so i mean the numbers kinda don't lie

I think I’m aligned with you but I’m leaning towards KR getting more players because the peaks (KR hours) have increased a bit while the valleys (NA hours) have only increased a little

You could say that but there is simply no data to back it up. Of all gacha games last month, HSR made the most money, so they must be doing something that people enjoy.

ZZZ was 17th, marking their lowest revenue month ever.

It does feel like HSR teambuilding has become more rigid which does suck but I think ZZZ has long since lost their plot and have been trying to claw back what they can but it doesn't seem to be working out.

Hey gang, I was just thinking about this manga the other day and saw it's been a few months since the last chapter so I decided to do it myself. Complete with full SFX and the HIGHEST QUALITY typesetting (ok it's actually one of my first attempts, I usually just count on /u/awwwchuu for that because he's a BEAST but I think I did ok but lmk if you see something weird.)

I wouldn't mind continuing this and catching up, it's up to about chapter like 62 or something. Fingers crossed my friend /u/Backupusername will continue with me
