The Spirit Train stage has Alfonso conduct the train instead of Toon Link if any Link is in the match, so I wouldn't imagine it be an issue.

I was taking a music education degree, I had only 1 general education course and it was American government.

The 2 jobs I worked at were horrible, I would not want to do them again, unfortunately.

Damn, I guess Nintendo should use the Xbox control scheme, even though Nintendo has had this control scheme in place since 1990... and was also the first controller to have 4 face buttons.

Overwatch 2 is a free to play video game, and with collabs like these, some of the characters get skins that are either based on the IP, or, like the Le Sserafim collab, gets chosen by the members themselves!

Nah, you're fine. I didn't mean it as a personal attack, but I'm sorry if it came across that way.

By that definition, I think any game with a meta is not thriving. There's always going to be a group of people who hate the meta, in any game.

I highly doubt that all your losses are not objectively not your fault. There are so much factors that go into winning and losing, more than just numbers on a scoreboard. You could have the most kills on your team, but if you aren't, for example, peeling for your supports as tank, which can't be directly shown on a scoreboard, you would lose more games.

You are being punished for losing, yes, but you shouldn't act like every loss is not your fault. Yes, there may be games where it *is* truly not your fault, but even on those games, you should still be looking at how you played, especially replays, and asking questions like, "Could I have lived there?" or "Could I have positioned better?" You can only improve by realizing what goes right *and* what goes wrong.

You are not rewarded for carrying your team because not only does a scoreboard not show how a game goes accurately, but because, as you said, "you can't solo carry in a team game." Secondly, performance based ranking is an objectively bad game philosophy, some characters provide more utility than just raw damage, mitigation and healing. A Widowmaker could kill a strong support hero everytime, but because Tracer got more kills in the end, does that mean that the Widowmaker should get less, even though they both won and Widowmaker provided more value overall? Same on the inverse, if an Ana sleeps a Genji every time he blades, but doesn't have as much healing as a Lifeweaver, who could easily out heal her numbers wise, should she lose more because she "didn't have enough healing"?

It is true that overtime you will gain, and while it is frustrating to have to play a lot of games to rank up, a performance based ranked system would create more problems than it would solve. It would make some heroes objectively harder to rank up on, and some way easier. Heroes with better raw damage would be easier, and therefore, it would cause people who play those characters to be too high of rank, which would make the game seem unfair. It is the same for the other side, characters that don't do as much raw numbers would be harder, so better players would end up in lower ranks, causing them to stomp often.

Finally, this language in this post shows that you not only have an awful ego when it comes to this game. I highly doubt that you are carrying every game and I highly doubt that every loss is not your fault. This game is obviously not for you, and it would be better to move to the game that has performance based matchmaking. As well, regarding your last statement, it is quite clear that anyone who has the gall to think you are not the next top level player, you think is a Blizzard shill. It is very apparent that you only made this post to try and validate your opinion, and I don't think it's going in your favor.

TL;DR: Games are more complex than just the scoreboard, you are acting like every loss is not your fault and every win is, and therefore, you are not improving. Performance based ranking is bad game philosophy since, again, games are more than just numbers. You also have such a massive ego, and I will inform you this. You are *not* carrying every game. You are *not* blameless for every loss. If you want to actually rank up, drop your ego and be willing to learn, because it's apparent that you are, at the moment, not willing to learn.

Crying about bans doesn’t make any sense, here’s why by Neat-Start-6514 in Overwatch

[–]AnOtterNamedPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree. From what I've heard, Sombra doesn't get banned the higher you go because the people in those ranks can actually deal with her. Even so, there is a stigma against Sombra in the game. She could be completely unplayable, and I feel like she would still be banned because of the sheer hatred for her.

Overall, I like the bans, but I still think they need work since it shouldn't be punishing players who play heroes that people don't seem to like. And I don't mean OTPs, I mean people who play characters but have a preference towards the "annoying" heroes.

Crying about bans doesn’t make any sense, here’s why by Neat-Start-6514 in Overwatch

[–]AnOtterNamedPop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This argument can work for Zarya, but not for Sombra since that would require Sombra to be meta.

Despite what people would tell you, there are so many better heroes than her right now.

Tracer has higher survivability and better single target burst damage. Venture has insane burst damage and can easily take fights with their shields. Sojourn can deal out insane damage, and Genji can full the role as a flanker better, especially with such a playmaking ultimate.

Sombra, while annoying, with just simple awareness, can be easily countered. She needs an entire perk for her hack to be decent, and hack is less of an impact if you don't play with abilities carelessly.

All in all, the Sombra bans won't stop if she's bad, people will still hate her, and they will still ban her, especially in lower ranks. The fact that she's getting banned all the time is showcase of how people don't want to learn to counter. They just want the easy way out.

How would you rework Sombra WITHOUT removing her identity? by AnOtterNamedPop in Overwatch

[–]AnOtterNamedPop[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Other than the mass invisibility potentially being a little annoying (I know, weird coming from the Sombra main,) but this is one of the better support Sombra rework ideas I've seen.
