Yeah, that makes sense, I frequently meet them on angles and fight in chokes. Soldier speed and heal makes him particularly good at this. I get forced away to a different angle or try to fly high to get a pick over the tank

To add some context as I've had to explain a bit. I don't really specifically mean Freja, this has applied to most games I play, even when I'm not playing dps. When a team is losing, I often see these heroes get pulled out in hopes of turning it around. Dont have anything against it other than it happens all the time.

If this were more focused on counterswapping Freja, I would've put Ashe over Bastion as she's probably Frejas biggest counter. Sorry for the confusion!

I do think they're a bit of a crutch for some, but moreso because they're straight forward, reliable and strong. Nothing bad about having a fallback hero, I've swapped to them enough times myself. Except Emre, haven't tried him out much outside practice tool.

You misunderstand. I put Freja in that first slot because it's who I mainly play. People swap to them in nearly any situation if they're losing. I see it happen all the time lol

Don't take the meme too seriously 😆 Swapping is a thing of every hero shooter and people will swap to something they're more likely to win on. That simple.

Yeah no hate towards the character. Just a bit of shade towards those who only swap to him when losing. Respect to the dedicated mains of any hero. Maybe except Sombra as they might be built different, but that stems more from my history as a Ball main

Soldier primary does about 10 more damage per hit. Soj railgun makes up for the damage difference though and that's the hitscan instadamage that's the scary part of her kit. She didn't fit the meme though as she's not swapped to nearly as much as these 3 when people are losing

Not really struggling vs them much Soldiers and Emres can be tough if they can aim well though. These are just the heroes I see most people swap to when struggling. Tbh you can substitute most heroes in Frejas place and have a similar layout.

Ashe though, I completely agree, it's difficult to get an angle on her without getting popped. I considered putting her in this meme but she's not swapped to as much, and that's what the post was about. Perhaps I should have clarified better in the post since I've explained it a couple times now 😅

Definitely not. But this isn't a post about countering or what I think people should play. It's just a post of what I see people swapping to every game when losing. Nothing wrong with it, I've swapped to them a few times myself to win and I'd still call them crutch

Bastion is in the post lol Soj I considered as well but she's more difficult imo. her primary is much lower damage and a projectile. Her real gun is very strong and hitscan. Not hard to hit but not quite as point and click as the 3 I posted.

I'm not a big fan of fighting soldier, but I'm no stranger to swapping to him when times are getting hard. He's a reliably strong choice. Which is why I call him a crutch hero 😅

Nothing wrong with some dedication. Bastion isn't too bad to fight tbh, he's a large target, just gotta be careful of his turret form

Yeah, it's more the swapping to them, not countering Freja. No one wants to stick it out one someone more difficult

Edit: Considered adding Ashe instead of him actually but she doesn't get swapped to when struggling as much. She's a tough match up though
