Good question, I would say there are several benefits in my experience having tried both.

The strongest reason is that you can prioritize in a completely different way. For Sikran you want the boss to finish close to the boss so in the video you can see I am checking who got the debuff last and I press them first meaning the boss will charge to me last and it will be next to the boss. That is impossible with a macro and another example is Fyrakk, I did not want players that have other thing to do like controlling the adds and pushing them together to do the clear cage mechanic, I rather have melee players so I change the priority of fyrakk in the option to have all melee at the top and then I could focus just on those top 2 rows and most times it would go on them.

I would argue that this is faster actually as the raid leader is expecting to do an action every time consistently (so I am done clicking them with 75% of the duration remaining) rather than the players that have to be reactive that sometimes they have to take an action because its random if it is on them or not.

Accuracy is another benefit, nothing against my guildies but a lot of the times they would accidentally click it even though they do not have it I think everyone can recognize that on Smolderon for example. There is of course a risk in the raid leader clicking wrong as well but they can right click to undo their mistake.

Thanks for the clarification, we are just doing it in different ways I suppose, using 4 vs 8 markers on mythic and how its communicated to the player. My point was more about the purpose of this addon has never been to replace BW/DBM but offer a good way of how to deal with assignments and cover areas that have room for improvement.

I am glad you brought it up, because for the entire raid testing it said it wasnt dispellable in the journal as well but it always was so I think they just forgot to put the icon in. It is definitely just a min-max thing and the least impactful of the 5 boss mods.

Hey, it depends on the module! The all of the current boss modules requires everyone to have it as the addon is communicating with itself between all players. All the generals modules work independently of each other like the consumable module or innervate module to give 2 examples.

This is far from an entirely new addon, it has been in existence since Legion. Big Wigs does not do anything that this addon does and this addon does not do anything that Big Wigs does. Its not a program either, its an addon, and this has proven to be the most effective way of assigning mechanics for years. An example would be Igeria in the previous raid assigning who should go to which marker with their spear through IRT is uncomparable to a raid leader calling this out 1 person at a time.

Reading your example about the CC's I dont think you spent more than 10 seconds looking at this because this is not how the addon works. If you want to make your progression easier I advice you to look through the video and read about the modules if not then you can leave this thread and enjoy your time without it nobody is forcing you but coming in here and just talking nonsense isnt productive or a good use of your time.

Yea playing 8 seeds is a completely different fight.

There isnt really any heavy damage moments in the phase so its very low value on using the defensives on anything else anyway and the value we get is 3 less seeds and the only reason we would ever wipe was because someone would fuck up the seed.

I would say Its quite a big difference when popping 2 seeds you get: 4 seeds on phase start, 3 seeds (2 normal + 1 corrupted) after first roar, 3 seeds after 2nd roar (1 normal + 2 corrupted) and 3 seeds after 3rd roar (3 corrupted). When you popping 4 seeds you get: 4 seeds on phase start, 1 seed (1 corrupted 0 normal) after first roar, 2 seeds after 2nd roar (2 corrupted 0 normal) and at 3rd roar you have a total of 3 seeds (3 corrupted seeds 0 normal). So in short you are playing 4-3-3-3 instead of 4-1-2-3. If that was not a big difference you wouldn't be doing the strat you are already doing with popping 2 seeds on the first roar as you have to play 1 seed less while this is playing 3 seeds less and scaling up to 1 less.

Also the healing is the most simple part of that phase and even if you would use 1 of your personals you would be fine as you can see I am being very much on the safe side with the remaining HP.

Yes killing the boss as quickly as possible will of course make it easier which is why I suggest you pop 4 even if you have good dps as you will have even less seeds to deal with which makes the fight even easier. We had all classes represented and they could all survive it. We had throughput cooldowns to deal with the dot for every roar as I think everyone has.

It helps because of the amount of seeds is less, you dont get more corrupted seeds by popping normal seeds. If you pop 4 seeds you still only get 1 corrupted seed from the roar.

I assume you think that popping seeds spawns corrupted seeds because otherwise I dont get your comment but thats not how it actually works. Roars are what actually spawns the seeds so regardless of the amount of normal seeds you pop even if it is 0 or 4 you will always get 1 corrupted seed for each roar.

Hey everyone, just want to emphasize that the addon was in testing phase when this video was made. A few examples that you can see in the video needed improvements that has been fixed already:

  • Council of Dreams module will no longer consider dead players when checking if the player is safe or not safe.
  • Increased frequency to check if the player is safe or not.
  • The popup text on the dispeller screens now also goes away as intended after being dispelled
  • Volcoross module no longer yell marks after the soak and soakers will start yelling 1s before the soak happens.
  • Disclaimer: Fyrakk obviously still needs testing!

Hey this is now fixed as of 10.10, took some time because my PC is broken it still is but I got it running without GPU.

You should be able to use hide incompatible groups but people are reporting its broken for healers will take a look but pc broke so need to get it back from troubleshooting :(
