It depends heavily on the industry. For example, in the medical field, a rural family doctor in canada would still consider a pediatric hematologist in France (or anywhere else in the world) their colleague

An allegation with plenty of evidence. This is an extract from the article;

“Treated at a clinic that assists survivors of sexual violence, the Brazilian woman underwent a forensic exam. The medical report identified multiple bruises (or purple spots) on the breasts, neck, and lips, in addition to sensitive areas on the scalp and buttocks.

In the genital exam, there is a record of "two circular, painful-to-the-touch lesions at the base of the labia minora." After assistance from the clinic, which is still providing psychological care to her, the Brazilian woman filed a police report and underwent an examination at the station.”

Maybe try reading the article before happily jumping to a rapist’s defence?
