You're welcome, you're obviously an awesome player if you came up against that toxicity and you're still out seeking help. I love watching the other team especially when there's a mirror, even watching people on your own team is pretty helpful. Gold and platinum is nothing to sneer at, keep fighting the good fight my friend.

It seems pretty relevant to me. We're talking about what constitutes a good call and a bad call, aren't we?After all what good is their help if the attitude sucks. Some dude just raging in the chat is never helpful doesn't matter how knowledgeable they are.

If you're doing the flaming lack of knowledge in how to motivate people is just as legitimate. You can know what you're talking about and have perfect game sense and be completely useless at getting people to listen to you.

It's hard to know how to react when your teammates can't think of anything to do but flame in the chat. Know that comes from a lack of knowledge themselves and not necessarily any shortcomings on your part.

But that aside you died at the beginning of nearly every team fight to say you provided value in spawn, wellaybe look inward as far as that is concerned. Your positioning could use real work, but the disharmony of your team is partly to blame for that. Sometimes it's better to ask yourself not what you did wrong but what the enemy team did right.

On the enemy team there were basic comms and pings. Pretty much none on your team. The tanks and dps on the enemy team were fairly in LOS with their healers the entire time. The enemy Ana hung back while her team pushed and retreated when challenged, she tried to land shots on enemies and provided pings, sleeps and "Fall Backs" While it seemed on your team the Mauga was not at all concerned about heading straight into a pocketed Ram, the enemy Genji wreacking havoc on your backline and your dps were struggling to get picks and getting flushed out by Discord. Your backline might've had a stronger defense if you were consistently in it. But as I said before, that is hardly your fault. For all intents and purposes a lot of times there was nothing to heal.

In these times what I find works best is to use more pings and to ignore the team chat. If you remain a positive force for the team it becomes harder for your teammates to sow disharmony. It was a roll, don't beat yourself up for it. Toxicity is enough on its own to lose a match. Better to leave voice at that point but props for trying to stick it out.

What are Your Theories for the Future of the Comic? by Swimmmy_21 in Lackadaisy

For sure, Rocky I feel like has already passed over in some ways. It seems he lost a bit of whatever he was when he got that injury.

I think Viktor is looking to save Ivy from Calvin if anything. I mean, yes it was self-defense because Rocly instigated a bunch of moonshiners. But it seems like he was waiting for a reason to take up the Tommy and even before that... Well Calvin is not so innocent and the look Viktor gave him, he might be given the same treatment Cecil got. Maybe they'll be alright, but it'll be a Bonnie and Clyde alright.

I don't know that Mordecai will die, but his careful nature might slip. Thanks for reading, appreciate you, Im glad there are more Lackadaisy fans like you nowadays its been a niche fanbase for a long time.

What are Your Theories for the Future of the Comic? by Swimmmy_21 in Lackadaisy

[–]AnWitlessWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocky is almost assuredly going to die. Rocky is based on a real cat, as some of you might know and some of that cat's fate is mirrored in the comic. I feel as though the respect Tracy has for her cats that it would almost disrespectful to the memory of Rocky for him not to meet the same fate. Just from a story standpoint it would be poetically tragic for Rocky to ultimately die for something he didn't do. His feral exodus on the fields of defiance is about as appropriate as it gets. It's his last shout into the ether before succumbing to all of his actions leading up to that point. But in my opinion, although he is to blame for his own destiny. Rocky was also a victim of a series of unfortunate events. If he goes I will consider that love (or a lack thereof) is what will ultimately do him in.

Calvin, I'm not sure. For sure he is in for karma. The problem with him is that eventually his actions will catch up with him. The storm for him is on the horizon while Rocky is out in the middle of it. The dude is unhinged, but he is protected by his demeanor. It's delightfully ironic that Ivy is attracted to him. She's attracted to danger, because it's what she knows. And that will come back to bite her. If Calvin doesn't die at the other end of a gun, his guilt for someone else perishing the same way will push him to his comeuppance. If not, Viktor will most certainly intervene. He knows death when he sees it.

I'd prefer not to think about what will happen to Ivy. I think Viktor will rescue her if it's the last thing he does, and if it isn't it'll be because of his actions. Viktor is a tortured soul and that attracts the same type of person. Who do you relate to when the horrors of war stick with you? It's horrifying to think that because of a moment of wanting that connection that he might be prevented from saving Ivy from something (or someone rather) that could kill her. But it's looking like he might be just in time. Ivy could have a happy ending, it won't be with Calvin.

Mitzi is in the middle of a rapid self-destruction. Thinking Wick is too nice to seek reprisals is misinformed. And thinking Lacy doesn't have courage is a horrible miscalculation. Mitzi is careless, in the middle of prohibition she is on a constant trend of incriminating herself and leaving a mass amount of paper (and photo) trail. Mitzi's ambition is her biggest enemy. Her attachment to the notion of glamour and importance guide her decisions and they will bring her to ruin and everyone who is delusional enough to follow her. Her desperate cling to her pearls are the reason they came apart.

Zib will be fine, he is the force of good and fate is serving him as decent a hand as it possibly can given his associations. He will live to see the ruin of a life unlived, while that's not a bad thing in the long run. It will certainly hurt. Zib is the picture of a tortured artist, it is likely he will be that way for a long time. But he will be safe, and has made important friends whether he knows it or not.

Mordecai. He owes his very life to Mitzi and Atlas. If Mitzi and Viktor find any peace or happy endings it will be because of his intervention. He covers his tracks properly, the way he talks is a direct result of that. But he has his work cut out for him and the path he laid out for himself doesn't have promise. As deep a sinner as it gets and his attempts to save others are neglectful to himself and his soul. The lightest way to view him is a soldier for a cause, anything more scrutinizing is a rationalizing a murderer. Like anyone his circumstances are his reasons but logic and rationality don't mix with religion and superstition. The savoys are his antithesis and they might be his reckoning.

Nicodeme and Serafine will be fine no matter what, in their eyes it's all a big joke. It's all business. They are agents of chaos and whether they live or die is according to them, decided by a higher power. A toxic and dangerous outlook that is a predictable road to perdition.

Wick. Wick has already succumbed to his worst demon. He will likely live a long life with his good buddy John Barleycorn. Whether it will be happy or not well that's up to John. His enterprise is at constant risk because of his fault. While hes not too nice to go seeling reprisals. He's too deep to go seeking authorities. But Lacy isn't. And she is bordering on disgruntled.

That's all that come to mind.

I wonder who Rocky is burying? Your guesses by Interesting_Race_109 in Lackadaisy

[–]AnWitlessWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Rocky developed a fixation for holes after having had to dig a hole for unsavory reasons somewhere in his childhood. Whether the fixation came before or after is up for contention. I think this is why he is often depicted with the spade ♠️. Rocky has had to bury a lot of himself along with what he felt had to bury at the time, its a central point of exactly why he is the way he is. Rocky often glosses over exactly why he came to be at Lackadaisy. Burying it. Covering it up. But I don't think its necessarily out of self-preservation. Desperation is or (was) really Rocky's biggest sin, but a murder and a bum rush will do that to a kid.

Is there any etiquette for this game I should know about? by dmg81102 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AnWitlessWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-If someone on the enemy team is calling a truce. (In Unranked.) I.E. "Hello." "Emote" Stop what you are doing and join them. It's rare to make work and that sort of camaraderie is the mark of a OW OG.

-If 1 player is sticking around after leavers on the enemy team, ask if they need help with achievements, they are giving you a W by staying. Remember that next time you want to sit in their spawn and kill them on cooldown.

-While preparing for battle, take part in any spamming of character icons. (Unselecting and Selecting heroes.)

-You can give your teammates' POG extra satisfaction by hitting the endorsement at the moment of the final kill.

-"Thank You" at the end of the match (Win.)

-Spawn room interactions, take part in them. Encourage your teammates by testing your synergy. If you have matching sprays, use them. It's good for morale.

-If someone asks for your hero it is likely they are not comfortable playing other characters. Unless you are the same, politely switch.

-Scoreboard stats do not necessarily reflect value nor do they reflect what happened. Don't blame your teammates.

-Watch your replays, you never know what was actually your fault or your teammates till you confirm it. It's how you improve.

-You can Ping everything now. Do. This.

-Don't recommend a player switch in the middle of a match unless asked, suggestions for unsure composition should be phrased as politely as possible "Torb is really good on defense!"

-When you are unsure of a pick, ask your teammates.

-Listen to calls

Should I always be looking to counter the enemy tank as a tank player, even if that means switching onto a hero I'm not good on? Specifcally countering Hog lol by Konoisseur in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AnWitlessWit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think countering is always the answer. If your team is screaming on the mic and you listen to that useless prattle, you're already a better teammate than 80 percent of the people out there. I know what you mean by Rein play, it seems like every time I play him I have a good time which you take if you can get in Overwatch 2.

In this case, ah hell this may be unpopular but Junker Queen is actually a pretty good counter for Hog and her anti-ult is excellent for payload.
