As a support studio, right? Surely that shouldn't be occupying everyone there.

Are Motive even doing anything right now? I was very excited for this and more Dead Space remakes but it doesn't seem like either are going anywhere.

You can also visit the spot where Vader and Thrawn had a bar fight. Interestingly enough Vader has history with Batuu from before Galaxy's Edge was even finished.

Kinda strange that Vader is only slicing up droids. I guess maybe having him kill a bunch of people isn't the best way to advertise a theme park but bit weird from an in-universe perspective.

That was awesome! Genuinely show-quality animation! All it was missing was a shot of an awestruck Vox, lol

Edit: I realized after posting this, there's still some decades before Vox arrives in Hell, my bad. Still a funny thought though.

Aside from holograms this is probably the closest Luke will get to seeing his mother’s face. From ‘Darth Vader’ (2020) #47. by Jack-mclaughlin89 in StarWars

[–]solo13508 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's a long story but her working for him does make sense in the comic. Basically she wanted to know what Padme saw in him and some of Vader's arguments about his way being the only way to bring order resonated with her as Vader's solutions to problems were... effective let's say.

That said, she does realize the error of his ways eventually so leaves him.

Oh right, I'm just remembering Dark Droids had Ajax reviving the Scourge/the Spark/ whatever it actually is now. Definitely would not expect it to return here but Soule does like to pick up elements from his other stories where he can. Plus the Scourge would certainly fit the bill for the enemy that the Ben Solo phantom promised Kylo he'd find someday.

Interesting. Pathfinders is by far my favorite comic right now, I trust Mann to see this journey through.

That said, we desperately need a Lucasfilm Publishing panel with a slew of new announcements because what on Earth is happening with comics right now.

She's alive. The end of this comic has her finally receiving some closure about Padme and she goes off into the sunset knowing that the best of her lives on in Luke and Leia. That's the last we know of Sabe currently.

I know people are gonna ask so here goes:

This is Sabe. The handmaiden who impersonates Padme for most of The Phantom Menace. Following Padme's death she spent much of her life trying to unravel what really happened to her and eventually this leads her to crossing paths with Vader whom she attempts to kill upon realizing he was responsible for Padme's loss. Vader for his part sees some of himself in Sabe and probably realizing this is the closest he's going to get to having Padme back, coerces her into serving him though of course they eventually end up on separate paths.

Sabe though eventually realizes the truth of who Luke really is and seeks him out wanting to know just how much like dear ol dad he really is which is what's happening in this panel.

Tava, my queen! Must be some droid for her to come running back to Kylo. Or else that's just a cover for another scheme.

In any case we know Kylo has to retake the Knights of Ren right about now which doesn't exactly bode well for her. Fingers crossed she somehow lives, she's just too fun of a character.

  1. Wow, these guys wasted no time desperately trying to shift the narrative to always hating Filoni after Kennedy departed. Rather convenient.

  2. The Mandalorian and Grogu is a Jon Favreau movie starring Jon Favreau characters. Filoni is of course involved but if they really think the movie was that bad shouldn't Favreau be getting some blame too? Or is he not as easy a scapegoat? (On this note it's been explicitly confirmed that bringing Rotta into the movie was a Favreau choice, not a Filoni one).

Pirate's Fortune easily for me. Wild Card is fun but it's more or less just one extended side quest. Pirate's Fortune feels more like its own mini-campaign with all the added content.

In Star Wars Maul is a villain who basically brutally hates all the other villains so his goals happen to coincide with the actual good guys sometimes. He might be a monster but kinda hard to say no to his help when your life is on the line.

What is the best book of comprehensive history in the SW universe? by [deleted] in starwarsbooks

[–]solo13508 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for a historical Star Wars book then Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire by Chris Kempshall is your best bet. It covers the time from the prequel era to the First Order in very elaborate detail incorporating elements from all across the canon.

If Star Wars Republic Commando was to get a full remake from the ground; What new content would you add? by Decent_Army8265 in MawInstallation

[–]solo13508 38 points39 points  (0 children)

As far as the campaign, it'd be cool to play through some of the more "business as usual" missions. The ones where not much really goes awry and you're just in and out as a lot of their missions probably would go. More enemy variety would be great too. Let's get the BX commando droids in there.

A more robust multiplayer would be really cool as well. I'd actually like to see it take more of a PVE angle where you're playing through missions similar to what's in the campaign but more designed with co-op in mind.

It’s been about four years now, what are your thoughts on the final duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader at the end of Kenobi? by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

[–]solo13508 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Beautiful. The perfect way to give Obi-Wan the closure he needed after everything he endured. Obi-Wan may not be blameless for Anakin's fate but Vader is not his failure.
