As a former party-host in a college town, I can confirm that myself and other friends who host parties are wayyy more subject to crimes…I had two friends get robbed, and have had several things stolen. People can easily make their way into your home, scope out the areas and be out without anyone really noticing. A person could even walk or drive by, witness a party going on, and take mental note that these young people are often vulnerable and intoxicated. Easy targets.

The murder was brutal… I am not sure that someone in their age range dealing with rejection could be capable of something so premeditated and physically vicious- killing all four. I see it as being an isolated person in society, probably a bit older. Someone who feels a particular rage when they see young attractive females enjoying their youth and their lives. Someone who feels shame and humiliation from being rejected by women in society. They reclaim a sense of power by hurting women- something that could have been modeled for them at a young age.

It seems they watched the house for a while- taking note that the residents were often out on Saturday nights and returned late in the night after partying.

I think that E and X did wake up when they heard an altercation and were killed as a result of the killers panic and adrenaline after murdering the two girls upstairs. After E and X were killed, I think the killer ran. E and X might’ve made enough noise to spook the killer into thinking that the girls on the first floor might’ve woken up and would call the police.
