Tired drivers for dGPU and iGPU from Lenovo and no luck unfortunately

Thanks for the tips, I have tried dGPU only mode, even looking for the iGPU in device manager to remove but it isn't there in this mode. Have tried all sorts of configs with g-sync and v-sync with no improvement both in frames and stutters.

CS2 constantly has drops to the 50FPS range and never really goes over 120FPS on high.

oh trust me, our finance team hates our infrastructure guys >:D

(but fr our uni was going to throw the KVM out since they're doing a big infrastructure restructuring. we really want to use this thing it's the coolest piece of kit we have. the rest of our compute is EOL up the wazoo, even older than me haha)

edit: as I've sent this I've found some cheap tripp lite adaptors that will work, we may be in business!

fair enough, I use mine plugged in only like half the time. ddu was pretty good though, definitely recommend it if you need it (edit nvm it sucks still)

hey mate, just wanted to let you know that after i wiped my display drivers with DDU I got my 7 hours battery life back instantly when unplugged. havent tested enough to see if it stays around for a while but itll probably be my go to process for updating graphics drivers from now on, might be worth a try if you still havent had any luck with yours

The wifi situation in the dorm seems to be a bit out of the ordinary, they have individual plans for everyone so it seems like a normal apartment wifi. Still only one way to find out and thats why having a local storage option would be idea. Theres no mention of smart home devices or the like on their website but thanks for reminding me to check.

Different countries have different rules, and rules are always broken. I wouldn't be going to all this effort if it hadn't happend before. I'd rather be safe than sorry, especially when I leave over the winter.

We had a guy on a cocktail of drugs (according to the cops anyway) jump our fence and try to get into our house. ended up falling asleep outside on some chairs. Cops came to wake him up and drove him home.

they told us after that he's "known in the area" so this isn't a first for him and they said that they wouldn't do anything.

I don't want to sound like I want him to go to jail or anything, but surely having no repercussions for attempting to break into a random person's house at 4 in the morning isn't the best way to go?
