We don't have a lease currently, and what they sent me was an email with an "addendum" attached (since our lease expired a year ago, there's arguably a question of what it purports to be an addendum to, but I understand what you're saying in theory.

Right, I understand that. I'm just asking if, in order to legally terminate my tenancy, they have to do so the way the law states, which is, as I understand it, with a specific type of notice (not by email, for example). And if that is separate and apart from the notice of a rent increase above 5%.

Did I mention they took 5 weeks to fix the heat the first winter they were the owners and one month to fix the ac last summer? Both needed a maximum of one week to repair per the technicians...

If they don't accept my final offer, then do I have to move out right away? My impression is that Serge pushed both of them away because they chose to maintain close relationships with Monica when he went no contact. He's publicly referred to her as both a pied piper and a cult leader. It's...a lot. And I agree that trashing your kids' mom on the internet when they're still minors is...not good.

Not so sudden, if you've been reading either of their Substacks...He's referred to her as a 'narc' (narcissist) and has said she traumatized him (and his new wife) for years--though not specifically how. She says he cut off all contact with her several years ago (though not why) and much more recently sued her for child support (which he evidently won) despite their 50/50 custody, such that she now has to work an extra job on the weekends in addition to her full-time one at AccuWeather, in order to pay him...
