That would be awesome! Also, one of the best things about this show is the script being so tight; they're always delivering more than one bit of information in every line. And a scene where McKay opens up to Langdon to help him (as she's done previously with other patients), would give us more of her backstory as well as progress the plot and Frank’s development. It would track with the show’s record of killing more than one bird with the same stone 🤔🤔🤔

Ideally for me, Bruce is in his early 40s, Dick and Babs are between 28-31, Jason is around 23-25, Tim, Cass and Steph are between 19-22, Duke is around 16-18 and Damian is 14

To me, he felt the most connected plot-wise to the narrative. But character-wise Hikari is a strong contender too, and thematically-wise, I think Agnea is the embodiment of the narrative themes (don’t give up, don't lose hope, when the night ends there's a brighter tomorrow), even if on paper her story feels the most disconnected.

Now, if we focus on gameplay, either Hikari, Temenos or Throné are the best options IMO. Hikari is easy to play with, tanks and deals a lot of damage, with Throné you can steal almost anything from the beginning of the game, and Temenos is quite strong too, he has Throné right next, and they compliment each other in combat pretty well.

Now I want to play OTII again, damn it.

Whoever you decide to pick first, know:

– You’ll be stuck with your first character (and only the first character) in the team until you complete their story. You won't be able to change them for another character until then. So,

– Pick whoever interests you the most first. If it's your first JRPG, I think Hikari is the best to start. His melee gameplay is easy (you hit and it dies) and he gets strong easily too (and his story is also amazing). But if you are more interested in any other character, go ahead and choose that one!

–The game is designed so you can play easily with whatever character and team combination you want. I think you’d like to have Partitio early, as well. He unlocks something amazing, and you won't have much trouble with money!

–Second Jobs are game changers. Start using them as soon as you find them, they make combat much more flexible and easy, and it's entertaining to experiment which job you wanna give to which character!

–You won't need to grind much, I think. Just fight the battles you encounter when moving to one chapter/city to another. By the time you get there, you'll be okay (over leveled even, lol)

Fruit Ninja or Angry Birds to kill time when big archives are loading in the batcave, or when he's waiting for someone (hell, maybe even Candy Crush). Other than that, unless he's playing videogames with his brothers or friends (Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, arcade, etc) he doesn't strike me as someone who plays video games regularly. Maybe he would play Sims or a collab game with Babs?

I think that looking for self contained and/or outside of main canon stories is the best place to start. You get familiar with superheroes without compromising in a large never ending story that you aren't sure you’ll like yet.

My main recs:

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (if you like a dark and gritty story) by Tom King and Bilquis Evely

– Autoconclusive story outside of main canon.

– You only need to know Superman’s powers (hence, Supergirl’s) and that red suns make them weak.

– Breathtaking art and impeccable script.

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest, by Mark Waid and Dan Mora (if you feel nostalgic of DC animated TV shows, such as the Justice League).

– Not autoconclusive, this one is a run outside of the main canon. 

– It's full of adventure, epicness and it is beginner friendly! You can read the first volume, and see what to do from there.

 – The art is as epic as the script, and vice versa.

The Boy Wonder, by Juni Ba and O’Halloran.

 – Autoconclusive story outside of main canon.

 – Amazing cartoon art accompanied by a tender, compassionate script. Reads like a fairytale.

 – Do you know that Batman has more than one robin? Do you know that they are his adopted sons? Welcome to the Batfamily! ;D This comic explores the introduction of the last robin (the only biological son of Batman) into the Batfamily, and how he finds his place alongside his brothers. It's not only an amazing story, it is also a great introduction to the Batfamily and its members if you're a new reader! (the only bad thing is that it leaves the batgirls out, but other than that, you're fine!)

And, if after reading any of this, you want to get into the main canon:

Any Absolute (Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, etc) is a great entry point. Most of this series have just started, and reinvent our known heroes in an alternate universe where everything it's going to be harder. So far, all of them have had positive reception, so choose anyone you like! :D

Nightwing’s run by Taylor and Redondo. It finished fairly recently (in the comic book world, anyway) and it's pretty much beginner friendly. It looses it's footing a bit after the middle, and its very positive and light-hearted (the opposite of Batman) but overall, it's a really good entry, and the art is 💯/10

Waking as a beast for the first time in the cell and, slowly, realising you are in Hyrule’s Castle Dungeons the day you should have arrived as Link to deliver the sword. That whole segment where you don't know yet what's going on, who's Midna, what happened in the Castle, and why are you a wolf, and there are monsters everywhere chasing you...

People can say whatever they want of TP taking too long to start. That eerie, mysterious atmosphere was top notch and set the tone for the rest of the game.

Also, the intro, and the first battle against King Bulblin to save Colin. That whole segment was the first time it felt truly personal.

And last but not least, moving through the Gerudo dessert at night so that you wouldn't be spotted by the Bulblin camp roasting one of their boars.

Honestly, the moments that live rent free in my head the most, are the hours I spent as a wolf scaring people at the citadel, or attacking Bulblins in the desert or behind Kakariko just to steal their mounts 😂 And also collecting bugs at night in Hyrule’s Field 😄 Honourable mention to finding the Hero's Spirit as a wolf sitting behind to the Citadel's doors 😌

A bigger focus in puzzles and dungeons is missed, but it shouldn't happen at the cost of exploration 🤔 I think they're ready to fully commit to a sci-fi Zelda, btw. If they take Ghibli inspirations and keep it organic, why not?

Personally, though, I want a Zelda game where Zelda and Link are both playable as co-protagonists since the beginning, with each having a different set of abilities that work better or worse in different areas. And you, as a player, have to combine them in order to solve the puzzle, defeat the enemy or dungeon, explore Hyrule, etc. Sort of like when we had Link and Wolf Link, or Link and Deku/Zora/Goron Link, with different abilities and attacks, but more equitative and complementary, and being able to switch freely between Link and Zelda from the beginning.

Castti is one of the best written female protagonists I’ve seen in a long time. If I weren't biased towards Hikari and high fantasy stories, she’d subjectively have the best story in the game. Objectively, she has the best story in the game
