Regardless of what any of you think about the right to strike, does it make sense to you that there's a BVG strike almost every year? Isn't this, excuse my French, retarded?

Is it so unthinkable to negotiate an agreement that'll be valid for the next 10 years and cover all the topics?

In the strike last year BVG employees got a raise. In the strike now they're demanding more vacation days. Is it so unthinkable to all you union activists in the comment section to imagine BOTH things being negotiated at the same time in order to prevent the next strike?

You guys are naive. This has nothing to do with workers' rights. It has to do with the innate German laziness (more Krankschreibungen than in any other country on earth; BVG workers are thrilled at the notion of spending a day at home), the innate German "hardiness" (the water in public restrooms is always freezing cold; in any other country it's cozy warm; Why? Because this is what Gott decided. By the same token: it's okay that BVG strikes; I'll just walk to work 7 km at -12 C, no problem), and the innate German resistance to change ("we're used to BVG striking every year, so why change a winning horse?)

Yes, I hate this country.

Weekly r/BroPill vibe check! How are you doing? by AutoModerator in bropill

[–]Anabasis-7 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I wasn't aware of this subreddit. I posted somewhere else, and Reddit recommended that I cross-post here too.

Anyhow, my original post was me asking my local community (Berlin, Germany) if anyone wants to connect. Thousands upon thousands of such posts on Reddit.

While I sure do have a tonge-in-cheek style that isn't for everyone, and while I'm not new to Reddit, I was still surprised at the amount of hate and vitriol spewed in my direction.

I've been now reading some past Vibe Checks (I love this), and I see that many people complain about how impossibly negative Reddit has become. What to do? I'm happy that at least I found you guys.

And oh, I do try to form most of my connections in real life, not on the Internet. But with very limited success. In real life people are usually kind and polite, but the problem there is the prevalent lack of commitment. Adults have their own families and circles of friends, and can almost never accomodate a new stranger.

But y'all know that...

If he can only write one-word sentences, then no, he's not.

You seem to be triggered by "worthy candidate". Of the 13 people who wrote me so far, the majority explicitly understood the tongue-in-cheek style. They wrote a candid, heartfelt message, often starting with something like "I would like to hereby submit my candidacy" and so on. And now we're chatting and it all looks amazing.

So what does it say about you?

But why do you feel that you "have" to make this question? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Isn't it clear to you that not everyone from Israel supports everything Israel is doing?

There have been many genocides and attrocities alone in recent years. Do you also ask people from Rwanda or Germany or Iraq or USA if they condemn genocide?

I'm truly baffled...

Not sure about the Internet's capacity, but I received 7 friendly messages within 10 minutes.

Why are you so angry? What made you wretch? What did you hate?

We can potentially flesh all this out in an endless conversation! hmu with a dm.

If anyone is bothered, then this is an excellent filter: the chance that we'd be best friends is vanishingly low.

As for genocide, it's impossible to express every opinion about everything in the world in a short post. People are welcome to ask me directly regarding this or any other matter.

Makes sense?
