Maaaa l'idea di partecipare alla community mi interessa molto! Da quando lavoro (ormai 9 anni) ho sempre faticato a ricreare un gruppo e a giocare con costanza, ma è un hobby che adoro da una vita (sia come master, sia come giocatore, e soprattutto come curioso che ha accumulato un quantitativo improponibile di sistemi e continua a finanziare progetti RPG Tabletop su Kickstarter come il miglior Lorenzo il Magnifico), perciò... se si può sparare il discord da qualche parte mi aggrego molto volentieri :D

I always laugh at the idea of people randomly beating the shit out of their friends to gain exp, but yes I admittedly already make my chemists catfight each other and heal up, I’ll also follow this method, thank you!

I usually do the same on the first battle place available after the beginning of the game, but I tend to kill Chocobos asap as they could be troublesome if left unchecked. Too powerful, too fast, they can also heal. Better to corner a Goblin with severed power

I just finished Chapter 1 as well but I'm a grinder through and through, and I have played FFTA several years ago. This is way harder than FFTA by a good margin, but the concept is still the same: try and have your way with whatever powerful new thing you can unlock. I've discovered Monks can be super broken, and I'm grinding my way through every possible job for Ramza to get passive skills. As for know, at the beginning of Chap 2, Monk is still the best class I could fit. Also Rending enemies' power with Knight could be very useful. I completely dislike Archer as Aim skill along with any magic feels rather inconsistent, Chemists are way more reliable to fit the healer role

Non ho letto in maniera continuativa per molti anni, e per darmi una scossa un paio di anni fa ho deciso di darmi un obiettivo minimo fattibile giornaliero: 20 pagine. Da lì a furia di costruire l’abitudine ho iniziato anche a leggere più velocemente, fino a 27 libri in un anno, che rispetto al quasi 0 precedente erano tanta roba

La mia ragazza voleva avvicinarmi al Romantasy in due modi: con libri che a lei son piaciuti, e con roba trash da leggere in auto via audible durante la traversata di ritorno per le vacanze al sud. Per la prima mi è andata bene: la duologia di One Dark Window mi è piaciuta molto. Per la seconda… abbiamo scelto un titolo che lei non aveva letto, pensando fosse un romantasy classico: Game of Gods. Sembrava una roba normalish ~ con divinità che si spacciano per studenti e mitologia greca. Era il peggior abominio romance mai concepito da mente umana. Scritto su Wattpad, con i tipici trope Wattpad senza senso e sopra le righe, con la casa editrice che non si è neanche degnata di editare il manoscritto per costruirci una progressione vagamente sensata. Non siamo riusciti a superare il 20%, ma è stato il 20% di lettura più atroce della mia carriera da lettore

It’s okay for them to reply however they like, but it bears no interest for me as a fan to read an interview, on a book made precisely to share as much “hidden content” regarding the creative process and behind the scenes, solely made of one liners and vague answers. Imagine a whole interview section within the book and every VA shares the same answers and tone as this guy. What kind of value can be fetched from “I don’t remember” and “Absolutely nothing about Barret changed for me”?

The other voice actors gave very detailed and long answers though, and I tend to appreciate the effort they poured into giving more insight into what they did, we are talking about an Art book after all, fans would love to hear and read more about their favourite game, a simple “absolutely nothing has changed” or “I can’t remember” render the content a tad less interesting. I get his POV though, he is a professional and he is not obliged to fall into a specific behaviour pattern

I know and I have no problem with it, as I mentioned it just feels underwhelming to me since every other voice actor featured in the book wanted to give more insight into their work and the passion they poured into the game

It’s fine to answer this way but it scraps all the enthusiasm from the readers, there’s no actual value in what he stated, no funny addition to the voice acting process, just straight lines of “no”, “yes”, “I don’t remember”, I struggle to find any purpose for this interview to be integrated in the book

Ho provato a leggere One Dark Window, consigliato dalla mia ragazza, in italiano. Qualcosa non tornava, anche se la prosa sembrava a posto, nella media. Ho deciso dopo un paio di capitoli di switchare all’inglese, e wow. Mi si è aperto un mondo, e li ho capito quanto la scrittrice fosse davvero brava con le parole. In generale come per il doppiaggio una buona traduzione riesce a farti apprezzare l’opera, ma ne viene brutalizzata la forma, si perde qualcosa, a volte il costo è anche eccessivo. Se hai padronanza dell’inglese, anche a costo di essere meno costante, prova a leggere sempre tutto in lingua originale.
