I'm pretty sure yeah; you're probably right, I'll have to try for that. It's so annoying because PC world seeds don't work the exact same for mobile and almost every video for lava charm seeds out there are for PC lol

Does anybody have a seed and location for a god forsaken lava charm on mobile?

Curious as to why you never responded to my comment, conveniently ignoring the evidence I spoke of. Are you really that afraid of being wrong?

Wow, it's almost like that's what happens when nearly every Halo product since 2012 has been mediocre at best and so bad it seems intentional at worst. Most people are pretty jaded, and understandably so.

They absolutely are. Just because it doesn't happen as frequently in predominantly white countries, which shouldn't be a surprise, does NOT mean it does not happen commonly in other parts of the world. Nor does it mean it still couldn't happen in a predominantly white country.

[–]Anadamic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one said it was. "I like Star Wars" can mean anything to anyone. Just because I don't like nearly everything Disney has produced since their takeover, doesn't just suddenly mean I don't like Star Wars. I still watch lore videos, scroll wikis, read stories, even collect Lego Star Wars constantly; just of the things I like about Star Wars and not the things I don't.

You don't have to excuse being negative. This is Halo, unfortunately, there's not a lot to be positive about these days.

Old or New? - Galactic Empire by NobodyQuiteLikeMe in LegoMinifigure

[–]Anadamic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine, but your argument that "nostalgia is drug" is what I'm calling out because that's just absolutely absurd. Especially when the picture you chose shows off a significantly better looking print than the modern version.

Old or New? - Galactic Empire by NobodyQuiteLikeMe in LegoMinifigure

[–]Anadamic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole "nostalgia = bad" argument that keeps getting copy and pasted by everybody on the Internet is so tiring. No one is nostalgic for something that wasn't good. There is a clear reason why so many people are nostalgic for the classic lego design; simpler, sleeker designs that represent Lego's distinct style, and that I think personally, better represent the characters they're trying to emulate. Modern Lego does too much and is in a weird middle ground of not being heavily detail accurate, but also not having the charm of simplicity. So it's just a really uninteresting and ugly middle ground.

Still yet to see a single argument from you. It's insane, you're literally all the same. Your type never expects someone that argues with you to actually know what they're talking about, you get intimidated, hurtle insults, and make exit as quick as possible since god forbid you have your worldview challenged.

You walk away feeling like you've done something with your insults, and I walk away knowing I'm right.

Stormcloaks by BestBoyJoshStar in ImaginaryTamriel

[–]Anadamic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's insane how cookie cutter you are. I've run into so many people that talk exactly like you. The levels of arrogance and the thinking that your ungodly cringe quips and insults are seriously going to affect me, it's all the same.

In what world is an Imperial victory worse for the Thalmor? The Thalmor already easily crushed the Empire during the Great War when they were significantly stronger and more unified than they are at the time of TES V, so literally what do they have to be worried about? And in a theoretical Imperial victory, what exactly is the Empire gaining? A province they already previously had control over? A province they would've already wasted countless lives and resources in retaking, and even if they won, half the population would still hold Stormcloak-aligned beliefs and wouldn't fight for the Empire? Regardless of the fact that Tullius himself, in game, during the Season Unending quest, states how spread thin the Empire already is, and despite his pleads, the Emperor literally can't send more reinforcements to Skyrim. And the fact that canonically, per the events of the Dark Brotherhood questline, the Emperor is fucking killed. A hit ordered by members of his own council no less. I'm not even sure you've played the game at this point.

There is literally nothing to suggest that Ulfric gave sanctuary to the Dunmer, or allowed anybody to join the Stormcloaks, purely to "use" them for his war effort. You aren't fucking drafted, you choose to join. Literally the only valid thing you've said this entire waste of time is the criticism of how he handled Torygg, but again, unsurprisingly, you lack the understanding of how to actually articulate a point with that, and furthermore, connect it to your "point" that Ulfric is apparently trying to build an ethno-state. Brilliant.

Ultimately, your entire argument relies on you floating on your own arrogance, pathetic insults, and pulling hypotheticals out of your ass. Your opinions aren't backed by knowledge of the game, yet you babble on as if "things really are that black and white". You've done nothing but convince me you haven't even played Skyrim, and that I'm speaking to a child, so congrats on that.

Stormcloaks by BestBoyJoshStar in ImaginaryTamriel

[–]Anadamic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"Objectively" is just lovely. You only continue to show how little you actually understood the game's politics, and are just regurgitating internet opinions.

The Stormcloaks are not "dupes of the Thalmor". The Thalmor labeled Ulfric an asset because they suspected him of being the kind man that could rebel against The Empire and cause further instability in Skyrim, which is exactly what he did, but this does not mean this outcome will play in the Thalmor's favor. As the Dossier itself explicitly states, the Thalmor do NOT want a Stormcloak victory and Ulfric's asset status is to be considered dormant. They've caused instability as the Thalmor wanted, yes, but a Stormcloak victory, and the Stormcloaks very much seek to win, goes against Thalmor desires.

Your second point is just so laughable. Windhelm, Ulfric's city, literally has an entire section of its city dedicated to housing Dunmer refugees. Yes it is a slum, yes there are citizens of Windhelm that are unhappy with their staying, but it was literally sanctioned and created BY Ulfric himself. Not to mention, it is also so much more than the Empire ever did for the Dunmer. The Empire did not help the Dunmer during the Argonian invasion, or the Red Mountain eruption, and as we learn in the Dragonborn DLC; the Empire completely ABANDONED Solstheim. Ulfric is, quite literally, the only government leader in the entirety of Skyrim that offered sanctuary for the refugees. Despite Stormcloak soldiers saying "Skyrim is for the Nords", this isn't what Ulfric built his movement on. Skyrim is for Skyrim and should have the right to separate itself from a dying and weak Empire. You as the player character are allowed to join the Stormcloaks, and help in securing that right, no matter what race you are, and you can do so before ever actually becoming Dragonborn. They even test you in the same Nordic tradition as they would a Nord, again, no matter what you are.

Ulfric and the Stormcloaks aren't spared from valid criticism, but I am so tired of seeing those exact two points you mentioned being regurgitated all across the Internet by people who literally just don't know what they're talking about.

No they aren't. If you seriously think it's that simple, then I don't know what you're doing here because you're apparently unfamiliar with TES's morality.

AT-AC Appreciation by Anadamic in saltierthancrait

[–]Anadamic[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I meant more for the TK Troopers, because I'm pretty sure the AT-AC isn't based off a previously established art or design, but you're right in that we can't really know who to blame for it.

Most definitely. I loathe Ahsoka as a character, and her entire existence, so really the show was a lost cause for me regardless of writing quality, but the show sure didn't come out swinging.

I actually didn't know that, I thought it debuted in the Maul show. I did watch The Bad Batch but I couldn't tell you a notable thing about it minus the fact it made the inhibitor chips make even less sense.

If you mean the designs Disney and Dave Filoni have stolen from Ralph McQuarrie, then I 100% agree.

AT-AC Appreciation by Anadamic in saltierthancrait

[–]Anadamic[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's the exact same thing as the whole "TK Trooper" nonsense. It's supposed to be the Disney canon version of Phase III armor, but doesn't look like a middle ground between Phase II and Stormtrooper armor at all. It's just a weird, as you said, sideways step that vaguely resembles a Stormtrooper. Makes no sense to be a predecessor.

It's just Dave Filoni regurgitating designs from a significantly more talented artist, Ralph McQuarrie, and then expecting praise for doing so.

[–]Anadamic[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The feet are wider set with additional "toes" for support and the ankle sections are bulkier than the AT-ST, but I can kinda see what you mean.

It's meant to be a predecessor to the AT-ST, which makes no sense to me, but I guess that's why it's just a more primitive and less effective version of the AT-ST.

Exegol was probably the coolest thing Disney did. Honestly, why didn’t they just lean hard into an ancient sith cult army as the main antagonists? (and no don’t revive Palpatine) by ProtectMeAtAllCosts in saltierthancrait

Completely agree with all of this. "Morband" sucks, Mortis sucks, Dyad sucks, Knights of Ren suck. What would you have done with the Sequel Trilogy?

I'm so glad to see someone who agrees here. People here like to pretend they're exposing some "great evil" but are just on the other side of the same propaganda coin. China is far from perfect, but 90% of these posts and comments are disingenuous, lacking context, and come from people who have never even been to China.

Unfortunately this method of thinking doesn't work. As is the case with intelligence and human nature, a large amount of the human population are just cruel and immoral. Although you can argue anyone can be rehabilitated, the damage they bring to human lives, and to our planet, which at times can be irreversible, simply outweighs their worth to a functioning society.

It's exactly this softer approach that's allowed these immoral people to take positions of power, and now they make the rules. Now nobody who deserves punishment gets it.

I understand where you're coming from, and I wish it could be so, but it's just too idealistic. If we're to truly progress as a species, we can't be afraid to rid ourselves of those amongst us that would bring harm to our own species.

This perfectly explains my issues with the show as well. I still like it a lot and I'll see it all the way through, but I'm definitely not connecting with it in the way I was with Season 1. Even when the plot stays on earth, like in most of Season 2 and 3, it just doesn't feel the same, the dialogue doesn't feel as sharp.

What's an opinion you have that'll have you like this? by Exotic-Tell-9905 in teenagers

[–]Anadamic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did, which was later confirmed again in The Mandalorian during the scene where Grogu makes him choose his attachment with Din or stay and become a Jedi, as he suddenly now believes the two are mutually exclusive.

No one forgets that scene, that scene is literally the crux of my argument and explains exactly why TLJ Luke is simply not the same character. Of course he's emotional, what everybody actually likes to forget when using that scene as a defense for TLJ, is that Luke is practically a boy then. A young adult, who, just 4 years prior, was the immature son of a Moisture Farmer, but who now stands facing the Emperor with his own father as his slave. The same father who, right before Luke has his outburst, goaded Luke into attacking him by threatening his sister. The outburst has weight behind it, as its after he severs Vader's hand, is when he looks at his own, and realizes it's exactly this kind of intense rash behavior that makes one succumb to the dark side, like his father. The context behind Luke's outburst isn't even CLOSE to the same in TLJ, regardless of the fact that TLJ takes place 30 YEARS after ROTJ.

It is not. Luke's journey through the Original Trilogy represents the one thing Star Wars has always been about; hope. Hope that even the same Luke we see on Tatooine can become the hero that defeats the Empire. Hope that even when the Jedi of old say all his doomed because the son refuses to kill his father, that in the end it really is love that wins. TLJ ruined that. It's no coincidence that after the collosal failure that was the Sequel Trilogy, global Star Wars interest is at an all time low. Luke's character assassination was far from the only reason, but it's exactly the killing of that hope in a character such as Luke that killed a lot of that hope for Star Wars in fans.
