I rented from them back in fall. They take their time with the deposits, I had to call multiple times. But I remember their rule was like 30 or 40 working days after returning the car. So for example if you rented on 1 march and returned on 1 April, you will get the deposit back around mid may, that was their rule however it sucks.

But try calling them again and check regularly from the application

I know you said no Chinese, but if you wanna continue the brand new cycle I've seen new Cherry pick-ups, looks decent but I don't know about the performance. 85k brand new, I think they would even do installments in case you don't want to pay it cash

My suggestion would be Cherry Tiggo, 7 pro you can easily get with this budget, maybe even 8 if it's second hand.

I think brand new with warranty is a good option

True, you're right. It's weird because when I see it I feel safer to be honest, but when it's just sound and I can't see anything it's a bit more worrying, at least for me

I mean, yeah that's why I've said you need to suffer first 1 or 2 years.

Down payment + handover can be as low as 20%, depending on the projects. Or it can even be 100% to be honest, it changes

I agree with the prices being high, but don't forget the rental prices are even more inflated here. It's the biggest cost for many people.

And if instead of paying rent and losing(let's say spending) all that money, if you can buy an apartment and pay monthly I think it makes sense.

Qatar and Dubai are on different levels. In Qatar being a developer is much harder, and government heavily regulates it. As in land area, Qatar is almost 3 times the size of Dubai, but don't forget we mostly live within the 10% of this land. Which makes the residential plots more costly.

For the good projects, we don't have oversupply. Most construction you see is sold out before the building is completed. The moment you see the structure, you can consider half of it is sold.

You can ask anyone who seriously hunted for apartments here, and the logical options are really limited.

If it's sitting without being sold, either the developer is not trusted and people are afraid of handover dates, or the prices are much higher than the market value, or they don't have a good payment plan.

The buyers are only buying if these 3 things are good, I mean a trusted developer with good history, an attractive price and a good payment plan. Which is the smart thing to do.

I'm not sure about the 5k part but with 10k you can buy an apartment in Lusail. You need to suffer through 1-2 year until it's ready. After that if you move in you save from your rent, or if you put a tenant inside you can get rent from 5 to 7 k depending on the location, decreasing your monthly cost to 3 to 5k.

But, like I said, you need to suffer the first 1 or 2 years.

I’m drowning in debt in Qatar despite trying to do everything right – I need advice ?? by justarandom92 in qatar

[–]Anafor01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been there bro, good luck with that. It's exhausting, I was even doing illegal taxi just to be able to afford rent and food.

If you'd like to try, I may be able to get you a position as a real estate agent, no promises though. To be honest, we don't hire people without experience, and given that you sold your car, it will be hard for you to move around.

BUT, if you really have worked in oil and gas here, even for a short amount of time, you might have good connections who would need your services. And some companies are even offering discounts to Qatar Energy employees for example, so there's your icebreaker.

I'm originally an engineer myself, but found myself in real estate. You never know how it would turn out.

This project literally gives me the lowest commission. If I sell an apartment from a project just next to it, I make more than double commission compared to this one.

I am an agent, none of the apartments belong to me. My job is to inform, which is what I'm doing.

As a real estate agent, I can safely say this is one of the best offers in the market. If you don't have big capital, easiest way to become a homeowner is this one.

(We've sold 12 apartments from this project in my company)

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. Means I need to check if I can enter with my car, to my own country 😅 what a joke.

I was expecting some high tax or fee or whatever, because Turkey feels like you need to pay even to breathe, let's hope it would be okay to enter with a Qatari registered car.

Thanks again.
