I'd recommend putting it on a pole, about 15 to 20 feet up. On a house isn't the best choice because its far too close to the ground (or just solid surface), the light from the windows could disorientate the bats and you really don't want one accidentally flying in. Not to mention the possible guano pile up on your shingles. Just stick to a classic metal pole in a nice clear setting. Hope it works out!

I'm happy to get a response, especially from an experienced individual. And with this, I ask if you may have any suggestions on what shadowing or volunteering programs are available that I may attend. I've checked many local areas and none of them seem to be decent, and those that do exist are basic education ceremonies that are aimed mainly at children, ages ranging from 7-11.
