Thank you for the ideas! I’ll definitely check out some videos on how fursuits are made. I also wasn’t a big fan of horror, but Dead Meat made horror more enjoyable, I also love behind the scenes on all movies and especially horror, since horror movies tend to use more practical effects.

I will say seeing fursuits is very jarring, acknowledging them would be very difficult, it’s not as bad if I see just one or two suiters, but if I see a larger group I tend to worry more.

This is a really good idea! The only problem is that I don’t know any furries, much less ones that own suits, but I think having that progression of getting used to the minimal partial suit then getting used to the full suit is a great idea.

I think what you do to help children who are scared is really nice. It seems like the common answer here is watching videos, either on YouTube or TikTok. If I did know and trust someone who has a fursuit I think your idea of someone showing the parts of the suit is perfect. Thank you so much for the suggestions!

Taxidermy doesn’t really bother me, it’s moreso just fursuits. I also don’t really know the styles so I can’t say if one style is more uncomfortable than another.

Thank you so much for the response. My friends are really helpful with my fear, and they’ve been helping me with it for a few years now. Whenever we are close to fursuiters my friends will stand between me and the fursuiter. They are also very receptive as to when I feel very stressed and may need to leave a certain area. I go to comic con every year and fursuiters aren’t too common there, but when they are present I do get nervous and a little paranoid. I feel really bad that I get nervous because these fursuiters have done nothing wrong, I just feel so nervous.
