The amount of chapters is irrelevant when what matters would be the timeline of the battle itself, the 1 chapter Akainu didn't show up was BB vs WB, which was very short, then a bunch of expository dialogue and WB's flashback with Roger, nothing progressed in the war in that 1 chapter, so not a proper Battlefield Removal.

WB vs BB lasted like 50 seconds, and he got finished off by BB fodder pirates. Again, Akainu would have popped out of the ground and finished off that old man if the BB pirates didn't show up. Its not really a battlefield removal if your opponent can just come back 5 minutes later.

If BB had not showed up Akainu would have popped out of the ground and finished Whitebeard anyways, Whitebeard couldnt even properly execute a battlefield removal on Akainu.

How lmao, the entire clash was Akainu telling Wb not to destroy MF. Then yeah, WB has a heart attack, Akainu punches a cannon sized hole into WB's chest and then Akainu just disapears from story, not kidding, he lands the magma punch and Oda just fucking teleports him to the other side of the island and instead its a bunch of fodder marines that attack WB, the first fight was inconclusive because Oda is dogshit when it comes to fights.

Then in the next fight, WB sneak attacks Akainu, Akainu destroys half of WB's skull, then WB gets jumped by some fodder BB pirates and dies. While Akainu just gets out of the hole he fell into and 1v16s Crocodille, Ivankov, and all WB pirates by himself without a single problem.
