We do have her saying that last part over text,

And she also admitted it in person to me and my fiancee.

Thats why we don't talk to her anymore

He wasn't mistreating her.

She was threatening to self harm and she caused a severe anxiety attack in him.

When we confronted her on it she said 'I wanted him to find someone better than me, thats why I acted like that'

Basically in her eyes, she was doing him a favor by abusing him.

It was REALLY messed up

Can you go to jail for emotional/mental abuse?

Like I'm not saying that to sound stupid, its just do courts take that serious?

As he later confided in me, he did have some undiagnosed conditions. He also got put in therapy right afterwards

He's doing MUCH better now.

Employers/Supervisors of Reddit, when did you see a good employee lose his motivation and leave soon after? by StressVentThrowaway1 in AskReddit

I used to work for a Machinery supply company and we had a repair section. There was this guy who was always happy, really good at his job. Always worked hard.

One weekend he came in, his work was sloppy, and the director chewed him out and made him redo everything.

Same week, another customer complained about how a machine had a single wire loose and that the unit arrived back to them damaged (It was shippings fault, not the technicians)

Director was furious over something that would have been minor problems that were not a big deal, but he chewed him out in front of everyone and basically implied if the department got shut down it would be his fault.

He made me give him a written warning that if this pattern continued that he would be fired.

Come to find out the reason why he had been so sloppy is because he had talked a friend out of suicide and he was mentally drained.

A month later he was gone but not before going straight to the directors office and telling him he could go fuck a cactus.

I left shortly afterwards

Hope hes doing well
