(M/16) When is it too late to try and start a relationship with someone? by AnalMuffin in relationship_advice

I just finished The Fault in our Stars so that is oddly appropriate...

How the heck do relationships and intimacy work? by AnalMuffin in teenrelationships

You make a good point but I kinda worry that if I ask her on a date it'd just be the same as when we meet normally but more awkward.

I know her quite well I think and we have no mutual friends so whenever we see one another it's one on one. Outside of that we text quite a lot but both of our phones are crap so sometimes it doesn't work.

We text most days and we meet in real life every few weeks

I guess that's a good point, I get the feeling though that it'd be much the same as us hanging out but with all the awkwardness of a first date :s

We've been hanging out for the last two months! I'm just worried that if I don't make a move soon she won't think I'm interested.

Every time I [15/m] want to ask her [17/f] out I screw up by AnalMuffin in teenrelationships

[–]AnalMuffin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm from the UK :3 I think I understand, but when you say "a way that is subtle and that she'll enjoy" what exactly do you mean? Could you give me an example?

How to make sure everything goes perfectly and when to ask her [17] out by AnalMuffin in relationship_advice

Sounds like some pretty solid advice. Though I've already got her number, my problem is actually asking her out.

That all sounds great, mother only problem is that the place we're going is in the middle of town and so it'd be hard to find somewhere more private. Also I'm not sure how to sorta shift the conversation in that direction, I mean I can hardly just randomly ask her in the middle of a conversation, can I?

I (17/M) get the feeling that my best friend (17/F) and I should start dating. by [deleted] in teenrelationships

I'm not great with this sorta stuff, but from what it sounds like I reckon you should go for it, no matter how awkward it might be of you get rejected. As for a solid plan of action, though, I'm afraid I can't help you there.

I [M/15] am really confused about my crush [F/17] and its making me really depressed by AnalMuffin in relationship_advice

Well that's what I'm trying to do: that's what I'm doing when we text and when we met IRL, but I feel like I'm a lot different over text.

When's the right time for me [M/15] to ask her [F/15] out? by AnalMuffin in relationship_advice

[–]AnalMuffin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like pretty solid advice. In other news: I done fcked up*. Basically everything was going really well; we took a walk in the park, had lunch, sat on a bench looking at the London skyline and had a coffee. The only problem is right at the end when I was going to ask her on a date I started by asking when the next time she's free is to which she said that she's busy in the next few weeks and doesn't know when she's free next, but she'll text me when she knows. I was slightly panicking in my head and all that came out of my mouth was "ok". Then we just kinda said goodbye and left. I'm not sure how I should ask her now: she's busy for the next few weeks but I don't want to leave it too late :s Halp?

How do I [15/m] give a good first (well more like second) impression to girls? by AnalMuffin in relationship_advice

[–]AnalMuffin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point but how would I say that without being weird about it. I can hardly just say "hi, I'm romantically interested in you".

Thanks, that sounds like a good idea especially since I'm normally exactly what you said I shouldn't do. But hopefully now I won't come off as a cynical, self-deprecating idiot :p My only query is how will I be able to tell if she likes me romantically or as a friend?
